Re: Widescreen mode?

unfortunately no, but put this after your command line (right click...properties)

+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200"

makes everything not as stretched out...it helps. Put your resolution in where the two numbers are. My res happens to be 1920x1200

Re: Widescreen mode?

command line? not finding it...when you said right click did you mean right click on desktop then go to properties?? I'm really interested in this bc I have a 23in monitor widescreen and this may be ideal for me and I have never heard of this

Re: Widescreen mode?

In the shortcut that you use to call the game (may or may not be on your desktop).

Re: Widescreen mode?

You enter the resolution you want. Not the resolution in the ingame settings.

It also chops part of the top and the bottom of the screen when you do this as well. Still, well worth it.

Re: Widescreen mode?

Then just remove the Command lines that force the resolutions, (+szx--- +szy---) and it should revert back to what it was originally.

I did a search for "widescreen" in the BF2142 Technical Support and FAQs forum and came up with this thread which provides the same answer you got here.

Re: Widescreen Mode?

The first time you load a map it will render the shaders again, which takes a while, but this should be a one time thing. Same as if you changed the resolution in the in-game options.

You also can't expect to jump to full resolution 1920x1200 or 1680x1050 and not take a performance hit. Tone down your graphics options if the frame rates have dropped significantly.
