Exclamation Possible AA Demo scrim!!!

Greetings, this thread will be discussion on how and when to set-up a Armed Assault Demo scrim. The scrim would take place on my piece. I have had 14 players on without any problems.

The following will take place.

1. Any thread that is started in regards to this one, will have a hyperlink here. This way no one will get lost. Granted the only two other threads will be sign-up and tactics.

2. Get a feel for how many players want to play.

3. Get a feel for what date and time the scrim would be.

4. Who should have access to the scrim.

5. The requirements needed for the scrim.

6. Rules of engagement.

A feel for the players.

I know we can easily get 8 players. The question is how many more for cap the flag.
The difference, keep in mind is that Coop is TG vs AI, and cap flag is TG vs TG.

If we get 12 sign-ups, we can very well play 6 on 6 on the cap flag map.
Note: post here if you would like to play.
_________

A feel for the date and time.

I like a weekend, early evening 4:00 so our European brethren can sign up.

Who should have access?

I believe we should use the standard TG interface, with a sign up window
The following types get first pick.

AA admins
Supporting members
Non-support members

After this, non-supporting members will have their names drawn from a hat. This will allow those not available to sign-up when sign-ups begin to still have a fair chance to play.

_________________

The requirements
1. have VOIP set up
2. have a general idea of the controls. As long as you know the basics your good. Not a good thing to ask how you get in a vehicle during the scrim.
3. the scrim would need a separate demo teamspeak channel so that we do not hog the present channel.
4. teamspeak. We will most likely use this on account that global channel does not work for most.
5. Read over the SOP for playing AA on TG. http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...ncements-sops/

_____________________
The rules of engagement.

The Squad leader (commander) will pick the time of day we will attack (morning/noon/night) However, me being the Dungeon Master, I role my dice in order to see if it is sunny/overcast/rainy before the scrim starts. Note, this is only for coop.

Capture the flag. 60 min matches with 5 flags to win. Most likely would play two games and add up the total amount of flags. Note, on this game mode you have plenty of respawns, not just one, I think.

__________
Signing-up. State the following

1. If you want to command the team, or be a fire-team leader, or grunt.
2. What weapons you would prefer.
3. Vehicles.
4. How long you can play.
5. skills/talents.
6. strategist (not command but come up with tactics).
7. Provide Intel on the map, equipment we will be using and what we are up against (good for coop)

This concludes the outline.

Feel free to post if:

1. You would like to play
2. What date and time over the weekend
3. Recommended changes on who should have access
4. Recommended changes to the requirements to play
5. Recommended changes to rules of engagement.

Note: this is not a sign-up sheet!!!

Re: Possible AA Demo scrim!!!

looks like the demo has a tg server going. It looks great!

This should help us organize a scrim.

I see Capture the flag in our future.

P.S. now I do not need to worry about hosting and setting up a scrim.

Re: Possible AA Demo scrim!!!

Need a bit more time to get used to the game, but I'd like to play.

Need sort out my graphics settings, it goes all jerky when the scene is busy, and I have a fairly decent card, plays BF2/2142 on medium-high with 4x AA no problem, but this game is pushing it...

Re: Possible AA Demo scrim!!!

With the way the Demo team is cleaning out the town on the Coop mission I feel good about our chances.
The best I have seen with working with other TG players is two making it out alive.

I would consider it a complete mission accomplishment if the entire team secured the town without losing any men/women.

Re: Possible AA Demo scrim!!!

We cleaned out the town yesterday I think with only Al dying. Then, the very last guy shot me as well. I was quickly avenged and then the cutscene started.
