We have instituted an easier way to browse the missions before loading them. Every mission loaded on the Coop Server is now listed here with expanded information about the mission in the following format.

You are tasked with a key recon mission deep behind enemy lines, about 10 days ago an american chopper was shot down, by the time our units got to the crashsite there was no one around, this could only mean our pilots escaped or got captured, we want you to recon this military camp and see what you can find.

CQB 101 CoOp 24 V 2.2 || CO || 24 || Side || 5 || Kegetys || Recent intelligence reports say that SLA General Plavskin is going to have a meeting with a local civilian leader to garner support for their cause. One of our sources says that sometime around 0700, they are supposed to be meeting in the Hotel in Arcadia. This meeting CANNOT/CANNOT conclude in our favor. The meeting must be stopped at all costs. The last thing we need is for the SLA to gain any type of support in the area. If that were to happen, we could loose the whole region that we have struggled to stabilize.

You will be dropped to the south of the town of Eponia. Our first objective is to clear the town of the SLA garrison that is based there.

Because of their close ties with the American Delta Ops in the vicinity, we thought we would help the GOOD OL brits out.

Operation Screwdriver Co-op 1-14 || CO || 14 || Side || 5 || None || Intelligence located an enemy Ammo Depot. Your team will be transported into the nearby Forrest. Make your way to the enemy Ammo Depot and steal the ammo truck located there. Then cross the Bridge and blow it up to prevent an enemy counterstrike. After that, return the ammo truck to our Outpost.

Over There 2 (1-18 C) || CO || 18 || Side || 5 || None || Intel tells us that a senior officer from North is about to meet local insurgent commander. This supposedly takes place in a farmhouse. We must catch him and wait for Southern intelligence service to pick him up. Additionally, we have indications that factory near Somato is being used to make bombs during nighttime and we are to raid the place. Somato has also turned out to be a haven for insurgents and it needs to be swept clean. To make matters worse, it's raining like hell.


Paraiso (COOP 1-13) || CO || 14 || None || N/A || None || Enemy has been surrounded in the former capital Paraiso yet they refuse to surrender. Problem is that those wannabe Americans still have a good deal of antiaircraft capability. Our Airbase is practically shutdown until we can rid of those vulcans in the city.

Prototype || CO || 4 || Group || 5 || Kegetys || A new weapon prototype has been stolen and is hidden in this city. You have to locate the ammo ASAP.

Rahmadi || CO || 10 || None || N/A || None || Tonight we hit those insurgents

Royal Rescue (1-24 C) || CO || 24 || Side || 5 || None || Son of the King, the playboy prince Alberto has been taken hostage by insurgents on the road leading to holiday resort of Arcadia. The entire town is taken over by insurgents and rebels, tourists have fled the city in terror. A joint US-Sahrani rescue operation has been launched promptly to free the prince. US Marines are their way in a Blackhawk, King's Royal Commandos make a boat assault and sniper team is supporting from the north.

Shadow Dragons Clean up || CO || 8 || Group || 10 || None || The Resistance army on Sahrani has called for help from the Shadow Dragon's after they were over ran by Russian Forces. You will start by the Arcadia Resistance Camp and move to several objectives. Take your time men, the people of Sahrani are depending on you.

Your mission is to take out the Russian Intelligence at the Spy HQ with several obstacles along the way. They will be expecting you so hit them hard and fast.

Our RACs scouts inform us that a supply convoy is moving to help reinforce and resupply their beleagured comrades. Your squad, located at this position has been tasked with destroying that convoy.

SimHQ Ambush02 (Coop 13) || CO || 13 || Group || 1 || Kegetys || Our forces damaged a T72 in a battle near Chantico last night. Aerial recon has located the tank and its crew, here, near Somato. The tank is currently not combat ready and is out of fuel. The SLA command in Chantico just dispatched a repair and refuel truck to the tank's location in an effort to get it mobile and back into the fight. Your squad has been tasked with destroying that convoy, then moving to Somato and finishing off the T72.

Upon reaching Mataredo secure the area and wait for the civilian to board the M113. When the civilian has boarded the M113 return him safely to the base. The civilian is of the upmost importance, his safety is your primary concern. We have a squad and transport at Mataredo but they are coming under sporadic attacks.

SimHQ JointOps 01 (Coop 19) || CO || 19 || Group || 1 || Kegetys || SLA has started to reoccupy some of their abandoned bases after our push to the west. A Joint Task Force has been assembled to destroy all enemy forces in this base in an effort to secure our northern flank.

They have set up several control sectors through the city to repel any invaders. Move into the city and seize each of these sectors from enemy control. Last transmissions suggest that the pilots are both dead and half of Charlie Team has been wiped out.

SimHQ Refined Iron (Coop 15) || CO || 22 || Group || 1 || Kegetys || Enemy forces from the Northeastern quarter of the island have made an aggressive move to into Eponia over the last three days. Our intelligence source has fled the town, but has provided some useful information. 1. The location of a suspected enemy base has been verified. The forces here are reported as well armed and engagement should be avoided. 2. The previous operatives sent into Eponia carried a stash of explosives to friendly civilian forces. Unfortunately, enemy suppression has forced our operatives out of Eponia, and the explosives were hidden inside an abandoned bus. The location of this bus, and whether it has been captured, is unknown. If you are unable to locate these explosives, make the best use possible of enemy ammunition stores to destroy the enemy vehicle depot. Destroy whatever enemy ammo stores remain, if possible. Report to the fallback area for further instructions. ||

During this operation, your squad is to execute a raid on the enemy's rear logistcal support. It is believed that what little armor and air support that the enemy has will be tasked to repelling our assault.

SimHQ SpecOps01:Airport Raid (Coop 16) || CO || 16 || Group || 1 || Kegetys || Special Forces teams are to move into an enemy air base ahead of an impending Coaliation attack. The teams main objectives are to destroy enemy supply caches and depots. Destroy any other enemy assets that present themselves.

SimHQ SpecOps02:Overwatch (Coop 13) || CO || 13 || Group || 1 || Kegetys || Intelligence assets in the north have placed a valuable DRS-AF Intelligence Officer in the Communist rebel controlled village of Benoma. Operational Detachment A-Team (ODA) 555 has been tasked with capturing the officer, alive. The latest intelligence places enemy assets in the region as manageable. Pockets of light infantry may exist. For this purpsoe, a two-man sniper team has been dispatched to provide overwatch in case reinforcements do respond. After the prisoner is secured, immediately secure the area around the LZ and wait for Blackhawk Extraction

SimHQ Training Mission (Coop18) || CO || 18 || Instant || 5 || None || Your squad is currently stationed at Field HQ. a Your orders are simple. Move out and engage an enemy patrol that has been spotted near Field HQ.

Surgical Strike (coop 1-8) || CO || 8 || Side || 5 || None || Alpha and Bravo teams will proceed and meet up . Both teams will proceed west out of the city. Enemy patrols are crawling all over this region so I would suggest you avoid detection. Continue west towards your objectives. This will not be an easy mission, good luck!

Victory Island Co-Op 14 || CO || 14 || Base || 5 || Kegetys || You finally gained control of Isla de Victoria. Unfortunately, you lost your extraction helo and are now stranded on this island. You must take up a defensive posture and hold this island at all costs. The only bright spot is when you conducted your surgical strike, you left a couple pieces of enemy equipment in working condition. Find and fix what you can, you will need it while defending against the eventual counter attack. You will have limited Close Air Support (CAS) in your attempt to make it through the night.

Recommendation: My initial thoughts are to remove this mission due to unconfirmed OFP bugs (shooting through walls in building) and the questionable quality of the game play.

Review:
The mission begins with two or three ~25 second intro sequences. The theme is clearly take from the movie Scarface. You begin the mission deploying on a small island as part of two squads. Your objective is to clear the island. This was accomplished relatively easily, but not before squad 2 consisting of almost all AIs was nearly wiped out. The enemy ai civilian characters seem to stream over the mountain one at a time, making for easy pickings. The remaining opfor was dispatched with little aggravation with me dying by the hands of the last opfor prone in a bush .

This part was short and sweet kicking off another movie set and a new mission to attack Tony in a building on the main island. Big C and I went down pretty early being killed by an AI shooting through windows. From another player we were told that the AI can shoot through walls due to a bug. but we were unable to test, because the group was wiped before getting to the building.

This mission didn't do anything for me. It seems very "simplistic" and generic and the mission designer clearly spent most of their time in putting the intro and mid-mission movies together. I'll pass on playing this mission next time and look to try something different.

I totally love the format you did Shiner, I say we keep it for all maps that are reveiwed. It is a logical and thourough way to review a map.

The Docks

Name: The Dock

Recommendation: Remove this map do to the quality of the scripts and bugs

Review:
The mission begins with a 30 second intro of you spawning in a water craft on the docks. That’s where the problems start. The video itself caused most to crash out at that point for some reason. If you are lucky enough to start, you than are already in the boats usually and get ready to move. If I am lucky enough to make it that far, I personally cannot make it past the loading of ammo at the crates before I crash out.

The objectives are to clear this small island and assault a second point. This island is well defended to the point that it takes you are dead if you go anywhere near it. You have to land at on of the surrounding islands and simply snipe. This is difficult because it requires you to have only sniper rifles and a ton of ammo. The AI on the other hand constantly picks you off from 800 meters when you can barley see them. If you able to clear the small island, you probably have to be done there. For some reason you boats either all get beached to where you cannot get back on them or they simply float away. I may be a crappy pilot, but a boat I can normally handle. Now you are usually stranded and require some sort of human 3rd party to pick you up if possible, with out it the game ias over, but you cannot do anything about it. The next objective is up water a bit and is more of the same. I do not think out of he 15 tries we have done on the server the missions did not make it that far without crashing everybody out at some point.

Final Thoughts:
This mission was weak for the heartache in the fact it knocked everybody off the server at some point. Not a bad idea for a map, but overall too buggy.

Air Cavalry

Name: Air Cavalry (Operation Hammer)

Type: COOP

Est. of Human Players Online: 16

Recommendation: Make this a must play for all


Review:
The mission begins with 4 teams 1 ranger team (9 players), 1 SF team (5 players), and 2 separate pilots (1 UH 60, 1 AH6). Pick wisely because somebody knew what they were doing and it respawns you indefinitely into the same player, bonus feature! You have unlimited spawns with is rare in any Co-Op. The vehicles on the other hand do not respawn, so be careful. There are no AIs, so no worries about leading idiots that do not help. There is also lots of ammo at the spawn point as well as a repair, fuel, and ammo truck as well as a medical BMP. The only issue we had was the ammo truck would not rearm the helicopters.

Your objective is to clear the city of Ortega. This is a well defended city that you must use you helicopter as transport to and from the spawn. It takes about an hour or so with 6 players to accomplish this small feat. There is heavy armor and tons of infantry to stop you in your tracks. Only as a team can you even think about clearing this city.

If you are lucky enough to make it through Ortega, than you move on to Tiberia to clear that area. You are getting shot at from every angle trying to get there, but that just adds to the fun. You encounter more of the same resistance all along the way.

There is allot, I mean allot of enemy in this mission, but that is compensated for nicely by the respawning feature. One tactic I recommend is to ensure you capture (disable than repair) an enemy tank or BMP to aid you in this mission when you need to actually clear the cities.


Final Thoughts:
This was bar none the most fun I have had with OFP or Armed Assault in years. It was highlighted the other night with Koala’s rendition of Black Hawk Down; we had to rescue his helicopter in the middle of the city. Do not even think about starting this map without at least 2 hours of free time on your hands, it was also the longest mission I have ever played. I truly think this map is a great time for all and it was highlighted playing with fellow TGers. I do not recommend running this on open server nights, it could get real ugly with the pubbies misutilizing your minimal assets.

The_Airport_COOP_1-80.Sara has been added into rotation. This is a BIG Coop mission with support for up to 80 players, with infantry, armor, and air assets. Humans can control entire squads of AI, if desired.

Looks pretty interesting.
The mission maker has made quite a few changes.
You have artillery support.
There's AAA deployed near the primary objective and you have to clear the AAA before combat choppers (Cobra,AH-6) become available.
Also you have enemy reinforcements incoming to the primary objective (tanks and an ammo convoy) and have to try to take those out while they are still en route.
Maybe we can put this on the server alongside the older version we already have on there.

This mission is now in rotation on our ArmA Coop server. As requested, I've left the original version on there as well. Note that the new version supports 30 players, while the original version supports 16.

We tried this yesterday. the server cannot handle the mission. When you give a "all" command, 79 messages pop across the screen and everything comes to a halt until the messages end. Unless the AI is turned off, this map is not playable. Another note on this, there is nothing fantastic about this map or its mission. I will do a write up later, but every map we currently have is better than this one.
