Dear TF members

Hello everyone,

I just got off a server where I was booted for not following orders. I don't remember the commander but he had a heavy British accent and was generally rude when he spoke to everyone over the voice over

1) First off, I am not a kid who write this in order to get attention!
2) Kicking people off the server for not following commander orders is not a violation of TOS as a player but a DIRECT violation of the TOS for server admins.
3. The commander kept asking me to go across the map which would take me forever on foot so I turned him down and as a result I was kicked and probably banned.
4) I will not reply to this post. I know people who are in charge of the ranked system and I can assure you that I will pick up the phone and call (not email or find my way through EA toll free number) people to notify them of this and if this kind of clan abuse continue I will pull my strings to have this ranked server yanked.

If you dont believe me just try me. I have asked several people to join the server and report back to me by tonight.

Thank you for your attention

Heard this before... I wonder how long it will take Bommando to squash this one. We have rules on this server, I'm sorry you did not see fit to follow them. And we have been checked out by EA, and all is right in the universe. Your welcome to your opionion of our server, but I strongly suggest you read our forums and use the correct reporting procedures for a problem. I don't think EA will agree with your use of "threat" tactics LOL. But please have them contact me, I would love to discuss these issues with them

Re: Dear TF members

couldnt have been bommando either, hes not rude. I guess we need some sort of guidelines or rules set out for our servers. Something listed clearly and stated what we want on our servers......

Don't you just love to kick whiner? When in Rome, do as Romans do. We have rules for the server for a reason. Not following it will get you whacked simple as that. And plus you just show up on a bad time, Bommando has very little patience.

There is nothing wrong with feeling something when you shoot your enemies... as long as that something is recoil.

Re: Dear TF members

Yea, I am not sure, but his post sounded real mature.
/sarcasm off

*shrug* I am sure someone has said this before. Not sure why people dont want to work as a team. You will probably be better off on a different server.

And somehow I doubt with the rampant knife/pistol only servers, our server that promotes teamwork, will not likely be high on EA list of things to squash. *shrug*

p.s. When someone makes a list of things and the first one states... "I am not a kid", well he probably is a kid.

Re: Dear TF members

My accent is Australian, but I don't expect you to be able to tell the difference.

I kicked you because you kept leaving your assigned waypoint, not because you turned down an unreasonable order as you say (you are not banned). The most common kicks are for SLs who refuse to defend waypoints assigned to them and you were one such SL. I am terse because it's tiring when your team has a stranglehold on the enemy and hyperactive score whores keep rushing off against orders to take flags unnecessarily and hurting their team. When your behaviour disrupts the effectiveness of your team members, it's time to make room on the server for people who will follow the chain of command.

You need to read our SOPs for dealing with complaints. Posting in the forum is not the way we handle disputes.

I do look forward to an email from your friends in high places though. You know where to find me

Re: Dear TF members

Suketi,

I'm not sure what makes you feel you need to resort to threats. As you stated, you're not just "some kid" but you seem to be trying to act like a schoolyard bully. Here at Tactical Gamer we respond to mature conversation, reason, and intelligent behavior. Threats will get you no-where but banned.

I also think you mean to refer to EA's ROE regarding ranked servers and not the TOS.

I realize this thread is locked, but I wanted to inject a dose of reality into this discussion considering it's still lingering around. I also thought it beneficial to let you all know where TG stands in terms of our ranked servers and the BF ROE.

In-House rules are most certainly allowed on BFx Ranked servers. In-house rules can not change any stock settings of the game as defined by the ranked BFx binaries, but soft rules such as not attacking UCBs, chain of command, vehicle ramming, etc. are most allowed by the BFx ROE.

In-House rules can not enforce changes to the available equipment or functionality in the game. IE: We can not have "no artillery" games or restrict any vehicle from being used on the ranked servers. We can not force knife-only servers or restrict gameplay to a single weapon.
