Mic issues

Folks I've been having a heck of a time with this USB Mic I'm using. I can't be on TS and the game at the same time. If I log into TS it takes control of the Mic and no one can hear me on BF2142. Any ideas?

I have usb mic, of which i have no problems.

How have you got it set up?

With mine, i plug my headphones into the usb like card thing, which in turn plugs into a usb port on computer.

Under settings on TS have input as usb mic and output as usb mic

Now go audio settings and try follow these settings it should work fine.

Thats how mine is setup. And it works fine now except that if I use it with TS it seems to assume TS is the only program I'm using it with.

Have you tried unmuting your mic from audio when you load up game?

This shouldn't affect your mic, that was main reason on me buying a usb mic, so i dont have to keep alt tab out of game to un mute mic.

You could open up all you audio task bars and see what changes if any are made when you fire up bf2142?

one other thing do you have push to talk enabled???? if not TS will take over the mic when you load it up.... just a thought

i never got my usb mic to work right..no matter what..so i ended up getting a $20 especial "normal plug" mic and using it..works like a charm now..in-game TS works flawlessly for me now...

Try changing your TS settings to use Wave or DirectX. A switch there might help out with your problem.
