Mouse unresponsive in game....

For some odd reason my mouse and keyboard are unresponsive when I joing a game (single or multi). I can alt-tab out and they work fine. Any idea what could be causing this? I've opened a ticket with EA about this issue.

Is this the first time this has happened? If so, when did this happen? Also, what did you do differently that has caused your mouse and keyboard to stop responding?

What brand of keyboard/mouse do you have? Are they compatible with other programs like BF2 or another game?

If you can Alt+tab out, there might be something wrong with your current game settings, because this is obviously a keyboard command.

Let me rephrase. My mouse doesn't work in game. It started earlier this week. The game crashed and now nada. I even re-installed to no avail. It works in all other games. Strange indeed.

Sounds to me like this might be a problem with your mouse software.

Not too sure about this one, but I can't seem to think of any other reason for your mouse to not work in BF2142, but at all other times. Does your mouse have an installation disk or a runnable program to control mouse options? If your mouse has drivers, try updating them.

You don't sound rude.

I have no issue in updating mouse drivers or whatever else. However, when I've exhausted all posibilites on my end and still come to the same conclusion I believe I will again learn the lesson of EA makes some buggy games. 'nuff said.

Sorry I couldn't help you. Maybe EA will have some ideas, or maybe you're right. They're just buggy.

Found the answer. REset controls to default and it works now.....strange.

I think this happened to me once. My vehicle controls were corrupted so I couldn't turn in tanks but as a soldier I was fine. A control reset did the trick.
