Great fights last night
Great fights last night, in particular, on Battle of Sambir against the 12th. The south farm was well defended with a tank and a Mantis led squad. We never could really set up as Mantis and Whiskey Six pursued us on the ground as we made wide circles around the flag. We missed taking the tank on 4 opportunities as they kept beating us to it by a step. Finally, we were able to secure the tank through FreekyE and were able to take the flag.
On Carpathian, we went head to head on a couple opportunities with the 33rd at the south cabin and at the lumbermill. At the south cabin, we had some assistance from a squad that took up overwatch, and forced the 33rd on to the top of the hill. This gave us after our second push, the opening to grab the flag. As we secured and cleaned out the flag, the Lumbermill went German, so we went back to take it back. Again, the 33rd was on defense. After eliminating the tank and a couple around the lumbermill we put men on the flag. Those pesky 33rd guys just wouldn't give up and it took us a good couple minutes to clean out the last couple of them. Overall, good games and great fights between our squads! Lucky Shot |

Re: Great fights last night
Ha. I spawn in right near the tank spawn at south farm, walk two steps and get shot in the back by FreekyE. I guess he was camping the tank spawn. No matter though. We had that flag locked down the whole round. I think the only time the flag flipped your way was in the last 5 seconds of the round.
Very good fighting on all maps last night. Keep it up. We'll need all the practice we can get.

Re: Great fights last night
Yeah we had some good squads going last night. I lead a couple really good squads earlier that even if we lost a flag we regained it quickly. Hopefully we can get a decent turnout tonight and this weekend. Then hit it hard next week and get some strategies ironed out.

Re: Great fights last night
I think I did two circles around that whole flag perimeter trying to chase you down lucky. Never did get ya but I know I made life hell for all your squadmates...that german support gun is basically a sniper rifle at the ranges I encountered you guys at. As usual your squad was very persistant though so it was nice to get a good fight going near the end of that round.
Most of the night my squad saw minimal action. Thats fine...I think my highlight of the night was crushing the squad Whiskey was in on Carpathian as we retook the East Farm flag right back from them as they took it from us for about 30 secs. edit: Actually another highlight was a hilarious sequence on Fallen. I was in a squad led by killermichael...we were having trouble taking the Trenches away from I believe Sawvipers squad. Eventually I got on the flag as spec ops though...before I had jumped in the flag rang I saw several guys already moving toward my area so I just quickly placed C4 everywhere. I then ran back out of the flag ring and then blew up the C4 blowing 3 guys sky high. ha Then jumped back in the ring and lasted through 3 more guys...eventually went down and we still didn't take the flag. doh edit2: I ALSO forgot about the nice squadwork by my GER squad on Spies. Our squad consistently held or took one of the teams only flags....sometimes it took a while but we did take succeed...the push on the North Cabin at the start was particularly memorably. Overall a 111-49 k/d ratio for the squad...you can't say that too often playing as GER.

Re: Great fights last night
ha yeah, that East Farm thing was funny - we were all sitting around staring down at the C4 on our feet saying "welp this is gonna suck - medic, you're off the flag right?"... but we knew we had to get the flag hoisted quickly, so we waited there... sure enough BOOM... weeeeeeeeeeee

Had a SHOTGUN D squad at backyard and had a ton of fun - held the flag for all but 2 minutes of the round. Props to everyone in the squad - sorry I forgot everyone's name (I know eGoatboy and TravelinWilbury were there.), but the teamwork was excellent - each shotgun had a designated entrance(s) to cover and time after time we'd repel an attack and then return to those positions... it was beautiful! good times!!!!!

Re: Great fights last night
Yeah those were some pretty good rounds. Whiskey, I owe you 2 consecutive expeditionary knife kills! You got me once, I spawned, tried to run, and you got me again lol.

Re: Great fights last night
Good games last night guys. That was my first night back since mid-December and all the games I played were very high quality, with tons of TG regulars on both sides. Good times.
