Problems with fear?

Now for some reason, and it doesnt matter what graphics settings im running at, whether at all lowest with a 640*480 resolution, or max settings at a 1280*1024 resolution. I get FPS of 10-12. I have a sick computer to.

AMD 4800+ Dual Toledo core
SLI eVga geforce 7900GTX 256mb
2gb Corssair XMS Ram

I dont think this should be running at speeds like this, while EVERY other game runs so much better.

What did you do to fix it? Just curious.

Also, you can download FEAR for free off their site now.

Single player is free now? I know combat is free, but thats multiplayer. I have FEAR, FEAR Combat, and FEAR Extraction point.

But what i did was update the sound drives, that made such a hugh diffrence, from 10-12-11 fps to 29-73-160 fps
