January 8th - Ukraine Side

In case anyone on my team was wondering why we were getting kicked around the entire night, have a look at this:

Props to DB for stepping up to CO after seeing such an atrocity and trying to sort the squads out. Strange thing was, though, that after we had most of our armor destroyed at West Farm, our team would jump into them at the UCB and just kind stay there with it . High five directed at Jaymind's direction, too, for taking SL after DB went to CO. Had a few troublesome squad members and Jaymind dealt with them like a pro!

P.S. - I need to stop offering toothpaste to the opposing team. Sawviper and Co. promptly came to wipe all three of my fellow defenders off Watermill in an attempt to cure the German Hallitosis

Also, apparently the 7th likes to play with smoke granades and lapdance when they get bored at a flag

Do not...

edit: I'm coming clean, and i hope the rest of the 7th doesn't kick me out for this. The 7th wasn't created for BF2 so much as it was for interpretive dance. You'll often see me kicking bleak and Shakey from my squads, not because they cant follow orders, but because they have no rhythm what so ever.

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

My squad kept trying for the east cabin and the east farm. We were happy with our effort even though we did not succeed very far. I did manage to get 22 sniper kills from the crew around the east cabin. 22:4 was my final K.

We tried to keep the pressure up around the south cabin and lumber mill on Fallen. Again a loss but not without us leaving a mark or two.

I dont even want to think about Orel. To tired at that point to know what side I was on.

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

Came in at the tail end of that round and hung out for the last 40 tickets uneventfully. Dropped some mines, popped some smoke.

Started a new squad on Fallen that ended up taking top squad. Too bad I CTD and came back on the Ukraine side. We were edged 252 to nothing, but we had a decent squad by the end of the round. Midway through, Redbane and myself were going toe to toe with Sawvipers squad which was fun.

Carpathian was a bit closer, but too many squads still not defending flags they took. We held onto the center flag for long chunks of the game only moving out a couple times. We were slaughtered at the east cabin, but later took on Child of Babylon's invite to attack the East Farm. After eliminating their armor, and the jeeps, we snagged that flag and headed back to the center flag. Thanks to Lord Zarfax, Joebar, Elmeistro, Squinty and Clawhammer. 116-38 German win.

Orel had us moving to a couple flags. My favorite moment had to be taking the northernmost flag from a squad, then surviving a number of different attacks on the flag. Props to Clawhammer, Elmeistro, Lord Zarfax, Submit and especially Squinty for picking up the Support kit that I know wasn't his strength. The 2 in game screenshots have us going from 399-299 lead to a 285-21 victory.

Excellent squad play and thanks for the games.

This screenie was taken right at the beginning of the round. We take Graveyard, I see there are at least two other squads following us, so to West Farm we go. The other squads can defend Graveyard... Wrong, they stick to us like glue. OK then, back to defend Graveyard. They're on our tail again!

Anywho, thanks to the SLs that followed orders (I fumbled a bit with the CO interface...). But I learned a few things and I'll do better next time.

Spies like us: my favorite moment while attempting to get Bunker (where Santa was slaughtering us from the top of the Bunker), I managed to get to the Bunker, slowly entered. I saw Santa on top of the ladder. He obviously saw me. Next, I hear the distinctive sound of a grenade bouncing off the concrete floor

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

Had fun last night. The best part for me was when I stated that the UKR side would NEVER capture East Cabin. They promptly took East Farm and tried to shove it in my face, apparently not realizing that East CABIN was a different place.

On that last rush I made it to the flag and hid as well as I could. I took a look at the mini-map and saw that I was the only one alive then the "Bad Guys" all respawned. It was a nasty encounter that led to much tea-bagging and stabbing of my corpse. Fun stuff

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

Yeah. Caprathian was pretty boring except for taking the NE flag and some slight skirmishes on lumber mill. Orel was busy busy busy. We were running around a few flags and finally settled on the lumbermill for awhile for some nice firefights. Good job SLing Lucky(as usual) and everyone else in the squad, especially the medics (Zarfax/Squinty?) You guys kept a steady flow of meds, and smoked before reviving when you had the smoke. Perfect med play!!!

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

It felt pretty cruel at East Cabin, because we had 2-3 AT at the top of the ridge and Whiskey's squad was down in the forest flanking with some AT of their own. Every time a tank and/or APC rolled into that kill zone, they went down fast.

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

lol.... I was stalking a sniper around some rocks (above east farm) when someone from the other team gave me 3 ammo bags and walked off. I laughed so hard I almost didnt hit him with the 3 shots from my pistol. I then killed the sniper.

More of the East cabin bunch crossed the hill above my and shot me down after I got one of them. I was still laughing as my body sank into the ground.

The cat's out of the bag now. I've got rhythm. I just can't get into Zamphir and his Pan Flute that you insist on playing. Bommando seems to fit it like a glove though.

See, I can dance! That's actually the same outfit I wear while teabagging.

Re: January 8th - Ukraine Side

We like to keep the party going at all times in the 7th, whether it's through knife fights, hotboxing the lumbermill with our smoke grenades (it'll get ya ****ed up!), or honing our break-dancin' skills.
