blisstick gave me the news that 5 maps will be released on friday along with vanilla maps into POE

All, hopefully this gets your urban fix for now. Also make sure to check out Stalemate 64... I gave it a few tweaks and it plays like a whole new map

We hope doing this encourages people to get the map pack and play all the custom maps. We know the competitive players are planning to use the BF2 maps, so hopefully they will give a serious look at the fan made maps as well.

Yep. This is going to be a huge lift for the mod. I've personally gotten kind of tired of playing the handful of maps whose gameplay I really enjoy in the initial release, and this new pack will definitely have me (and I assume many others like me) on the server much more.

Hmm...I personally have some mixed feelings about having BF2 maps in PoE (even though with some alternations). But who knows, I might turn out just fine given that PoE-players on an average are more teamoriented. Still, with the inclusion of such maps, I imagine that there will be quite some PoE-urban combat (Sharqi, Masthuur, Jalalabad, Red Dawn), and I guess that will be fun.

I guess that there will be some people rubbing their heads towards the wall in order to figure out a good map-rotation.
