I'm a bugtester for this game, and it's pretty sweet. Once you get over the novelty of playing as ants and termites and walking around these crazy colorful maps with all these plants and stuff, there's still a lot of really strategic gameplay and teamwork there. It's kind of like a mix between Team Fortress Classic, Natural Selection, and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. With insects.

Ah! ESL always gets slack from me! I assumed it was written by someone that spoke English natively. That says a lot for the quality of his English.

So, what do you think of the mod so far in terms of TG-style play? Promising? Do you think that it's near being ready to play?

Well, it's certainly not as polished as other TG games, and it obviously won't attract any military/realism buffs, but there's a lot of teamwork. It's kind of like a cross between TFC and Natural Selection; there's not a ton of fast combat action (yet) but if you work as a team you get a lot more done. There are still balance issues and stuff too, so it's the kind of thing that you really have to just try out and see if you like it. It's definitely very quirky.

Insect Infestation OUT!

DLing now, ill post thoughts after playing a bit, but any other TGers playing this?

From what i've read, it plays like Natural Selection. Maybe get a trial server up?

Obviously based on the insects point of view, II will offer its players to choose among three different insect species, Ants, Termites and Alliances. Another interesting point about the goal is that II will also support different gaming modes. There will be a training mode, allowing you to understand each insect particularities. You will also have a FireFly mode where you will have to take control of all FireFlies in the map and many more.

As you can see, this fresh and original mod for HL2 will give its players a new level of intensity and a really interesting gaming experience. Stay tuned !

DL'd it, played it, didn't really like it. Could have potential after a few updates, but right now it kinda stinks.

It's buggy (pardon the pun) but it is alot of fun. Requires a bit of teamwork on the ii maps. I don't care for the Dom maps, those are just dm and one guy can win by himself.
