The Most List!

I want to know your opinion on the Most Over-rated and Most Under-rated weapon in CS:S. This can include any pistols, rifles, nades, ect, ect.

IMO;

Under-rated: Pump-shotty
Over-rated: M4

I think the AUG and krieg are under-rated.

Deagle is probably over-rated.

If it's of any interest, the M4 is the most popular weapon on our server, with the AK in second place.

Excluding the knife, the XM1014 is the least popular, with the 5-7 in second place.

I think the M4A1 is over-rated, but I still can't stop buying it (must be that lovely silenced sound it makes - thhhhadunk).

Mac-10 is under-rated, absolutely great in close combat with it's rounds per second rate.

As for pistols, I think the 228 compact rocks as it has great range.

Under Rated - Mac 10 and Duelies

I think flashes can be overly relied on in some areas. I have seen a person use a flash and it was more of an announcement that they were there instead of disabling the enemy. If they had been quiet they could have snuck in to an area and cleared it…

Over rated: Deagle or AK.

M4 is so used for a reason it's a fantastic rifle.

this is a tough one because i think... well i know the gun depends on its user. i've seen ppl do things i never thought possible with some of the less popular guns.

i don't think any gun is really over-rated because the m4 is a great gun.. deagle is also very powerful long and close range.

if i had to choose something to be overrated..
it would have to be .. dirtboy and dog

I hated dynamic pricing at first, but it made me try guns I never tried before and now I'm really good with those cheap guns that no one wants. And night vision is now $1! <--PrettyColorsBlack&White would sure like that!

Given that the M4 is a killing machine, I'm curious to know why so many of you think it's over-rated. Unless any significant amount of ranged shooting is going to take place, most players would select the M4 because it's the best tool for the job. To my mind, that makes it correctly rated.
