Re: Poe Mappack ?

I got it late last night, about 11pm it became available. I'm looking forward to playing them on the TG server today!

Re: Poe Mappack ?

If we Dl and install this mappack, will it affect our gameplay during the scrim? ie. "not the same version, please install the correct version" msg? etc etc

Re: Poe Mappack ?

They are just new maps and not a patch. There should not be any problems with that.

Re: Poe Mappack ?

Assuming you got the correct DL(250ish MB) then you just extract to any temp folder and double click on the extracted file. Its an executable that will self install the maps into your Levels folder in the mods/poe2 folder area. So after doing that check to make sure the maps went to the right place. Thats all it should take. I have heard some issues with people mistakenly grabbing the server files instead of the client DL and a few people have had issues loading the vanilla maps.

Re: Poe Mappack ?

Yep, sounds like you downloaded the server files. Make sure you grab the client file. Like Mantis said, it's an installer that will automatically install the maps into their correct location.

Re: Poe Mappack ?

It turns out that the Client Zip is missing the client files for the vanilla maps.. Also, the first attempt to DL the Client Zip from gamershell, was the server Zip(only had server files).. I have been investigating the problem with the Vanilla maps all day, they are just missing the client files, which causes a CTD... So you might want to remove the vanilla maps from the rotation.. POE devs are looking into the problem.

Re: Poe Mappack ?

@SirMegatron:
Did you extract the map pack into the "Mods" folder explicitly? Or did you extract it into one of it's sub-folders? The correct folder to extract/move the contents of the MP zip file into is the "POE2" folder ("[YourGameFolder]\Battlefield 2\mods\poe2\"), which is a sub-folder of "Mods".
