wheres the team command?

Am I missing it or what?

where is the excellent team command from OFP and VBS1? Where you can break your squad down into teams by assigning them a color then issue the team orders?

I need them dang it for my next tactical brief article!

Re: wheres the team command?

I hope this helps Magnum

a. Press and hold SPACEBAR to bring up the shortcut command menu
b. Scroll down to the first Squaddie you want to assign to a team
c. Select him by clicking the MIDDLE mouse button
d. Do the same with whichever other Squaddie(s) you wish to assign to that team
e. After selecting the last one click the middle mouse button again, this will bring up the command menu with the ASSIGN option available.

Not very well documented in the full manual (or in the readme for the demo), but the functionality is there. (Although not got that far myself yet)!

Re: wheres the team command?

Following quoted from Rick in this thread (hope he doesnt mind me quoting it here): http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...release-7.html

Just put in the latest patch _5116.

This just in, the Fire team option is very elegant.

Makes perfect sense.

highlight the player and then scroll to assign. From here your have around six choices.

blue
red
Green
yellow
white
can't remember.

I you want to have more of a responsiblility, pick the top three positions. If you want to make like a grunt and be the one to do the dirty work and get the job done, take the last positions before the coop game begins.

If playing with bots, make the second and third players in command the fire team leaders. This way, when you send a fire team out they will follow their fire team leader in order of rank.

The only catch with the latest patch is that before I join a game this funky window opens up (from game) and all this stuff is read off. I click o.k. and it seems to work.

Awsome work Armed Assault crew!!

Re: wheres the team command?

Yeah, I found out that if you do not assign someone to a fire team they are on team white by default. The SL is the white team leader. Pretty cool huh?

So if you tell all your fire teams to move to a location white stays with you.
If you tell the squad to go somewere, and after a while you can click on white and have just them reform on you allowing the rest to continue you one.

At the bottum of the screen the number you are in the squad will have a block with your color around your icon. Very user friendly.
