Our current realism mod to be just found a buddy.

And oh SNAP is it a buddy. (I apologize for ever using that phrase.)

Just found this in the new mod section for ES.

Realism Mod Version 1.0.1

_____________________________

Requirements

o Eventscripts V1.3

_____________________________

Features

o Make CSS more life-like!
o Near death symptoms include:

+ Loss of accuracy (If limp is disabled)
+ Hear your heartbeat
+ Start heavy breathing
+ Blackness in vision

o Other things include:

+ Realistic pushing of view when shot (Left shoulder pushes left)
+ Extremely customizable
+ Gives the effect you are dizzy when falling and getting shot in the head
+ When critically stabbed, your view is horribly distorted you lose vision for a second (red vision), and make a groaning sound
+ When shot in either leg you begin to limp on that leg, when both are shot you are very slow and have a horrible limp
+ Every leg shot your speed is decreased
+ Built in jump height-to-speed ratio enforcer, the slower you are the lower you jump

Valve screwed up the black and white stuff, apparently, so that's not in there :P Anyway, this is by the same guy that made the sprinting mod. I suppose the update to that was put on hold for this.

Looks really cool! I wonder if it would get annoying after a few rounds, though. Well I guess we won't know until we try!

Re: Our current realism mod to be just found a buddy.

It'll change tactics so much here. Yes we go for realism but alot of our tactics involve getting into a cloud of smoke and hoping to not get shot. This will change alot of those plans.

And that's a good thing IMO.

For now, let's focus on one realism mod at a time, figure out what we like, and then worry about adding this second one.

Another good find.

Well, I feel really stupid. I was so sure this was not possible.

This will completely change the game, which I wasn't really trying to do, but then maybe that was just me trying to make myself feel better for not being able to change anything else.

...I wonder if he intentionally copied my name and mod name or we just think a lot alike...

If someone could find a way to contact him so I could talk to him about combining the mods, I'd appreciate it.

Wow this will really be interesting. Especially since I have a hard time shooting people as it is...

If all of this additional realism doesn't hinder the games performance overall this will be a lot of fun...

Don't be down on yourself, you just weren't familiar with Eventscripts. ES makes stuff happen. If you wanna get in touch with the guy, follow the link to the ES forums I posted, sign up, and PM the dude. That's how I got in touch with him, lol.

Combining the two mods sounds like a dream- just because yours is simpler doesn't make it any less valuable. With these two mods put together (if we can test both of them together), ye olde 99 damage in 3x10^7 hits will be out the door.

Aww, I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through registration. I hate registering at new forums. Fine, make me do my own work :P

I still feel like an idiot.

I still feel like you've given us a great job of trying to make the damage values more realistic.
