Fallen 1/23 Germans side
Good Games tonight! Thanks for those who battled through Fallen, Dnister River, Mashtuur, Highway to Hell, Orel and Woodland in Lucky squad tonight. Fallen had to be my favorite round as we hung out at a couple of my favorite flags, the North Cabin, Crash Site and Lumbermill. The best battles we had were with CptCuervo's squad at the North Cabin. Just a determined squad who were able at times to push us off the flag and always were an absolute pain in the butt. After a while, things calmed down to where we could hold the North Cabin and not fear attack, so we sent the squad to the Crash Site before deciding to take the Lumbermill Flag. I believe the Lumbermill flag was defended by Emale's squad and after a brief, but intense firefight we took that flag. The end was a close victory for the Germans at 34-0. Well played E0 (support and medic), DavinciCode (Medic), OrdoTempli (variety of kits), BigGuns (support and medic), Robocop (Engy) and WakeTheDead (Assault).

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
Highway to Hell was intense.
I want to thank my squad which included several TG'rs. We had some great and intense firefights over by that first CP near the german uncap. We hit that fairly early in the round after Town was getting overwhelmed. After capping it we held it for the entire round through wave after wave of APC's, Tanks, Helos and inf. One of the best battles I have been in for awhile. You guys were great with adjusting kits as needed. This quick adaptation allowed revives, and AT support around the clock. I'm sure there were some frustrated Germans on the other side trying to get that flag.

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
yeah, good stuff Flyer... that round was by FAR the most fun I've ever had on that map! It was also the most exhausting, intense fighting in recent memory - it was literally a 35 minute stretch of us franticly trying to hold the flag/stay alive!! Like you said we were under CONSTANT attack from armor and air leaving the German UCB... the headphones weren't quiet during the whole stretch as APC and AA fire incessantly poured in on the compound. I must have said "I can't believe they haven't taken this yet!!" over VOIP at least three times over the course of the round.
I think the squad was You, me, [TOC]liminal, [TOC]floyd, Joebar, and Rooster? Anyway - it really was incredible teamwork. We had at least three AT kits most of the time, and then rooster and I were cycling through medic, support, and engineer (support would pickup the medic's kit and revive him when he died). The flag went white a few times (once with the SL dead), but we always managed to clear it out and get it back before it fully flipped! GG! |

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
About last night, which admin kept trying to switch me over to the German team on Highway to Hell? I was a SL and the German team had 3 more players than our team, yet I still got "autobalance switched" 3 times after dying.

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
That was a fun couple of rounds. Great job to those of you in my squad... we kept Lucky's goons sweating.
We eventually decided to give you that N. Cabin flag on Fallen to save tickets ... it was quite a blood bath I kept hearing reports of a crazed lunatic with a shotgun running around the cabin unseen blowing people away (Robocop was his name, I believe). lol.GGz... |

I had a great time SL'ing (pretty rare) the next map after that (Orel).. It was me, Axis, Flyer, and three other [TOC] guys. I appreciate the cooperation with following orders and putting up with my NY accent Good times...

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
Absolutely the best round of POE I have even been involved in. That front line defense was seemingly impossible with all the armor, choppers, air strikes, and grunts being thrown at us. Great teamwork and communication and a pinch of luck during a few moments. After 30 minutes of nonstop pounding action my nerves were frayed.

Re: Fallen 1/23 Germans side
Ditto on the nerves.... Hence why I gave up SL after that during Orel.
Thanks Joebar for picking it up. Was a solid plan on that map as well. Hopefully tonight I won't fall asleep.
