Pub-raiding for TG:ers (Euro-time)

Hey, all.

I make this post with the general purpose of investigating if there are any TG:ers, or others who wish to play the TG-way, who would be in for pub-raiding during evening-time (Euro-time).

Myself, being a European, are more or less missing out on all of the action on the TG-server during week-nights and it would be fun if there are more people here who are in more or less the same situation - but want to do something about it.

I am quite sure that there must be a couple within this community who are playing from Europe, and who is playing in pubīs during the weeks since there is nothing going on at the TG-server. What do you say about hooking up a couple of nights a week; decide upon a server and form a TG-squad or similar. Positive aspects of this is that we get teamplay & tactics, and that more Europeans get their eyes open to TG and in the long run starts to play on the TG-server during evenings (Euro-time).

What we just could do is to decide upon one day each week. We can sign up or something like that, and then we hit some server.

Would anyone be up for something like this?

Well, I guess it is up to ourselves which game we want to play. The general idea is only that TG-Euros would perhaps like to play together etc, rather than being spread out over several other servers etc.

Re: Pub-raiding for TG:ers (Euro-time)

Well steiner since you AFAIK don't use xfire I've added you're name to my Q-tracker player search. I sometimes play pubs in euro hours, and help is always welcome.

It would be easier though if more people used xfire. Q-tracker is a very nice too too though; any player with "|TG|" in their name will show up in my friends list, whether they use qtracker or not!

FYI I mainly play project reality servers in pubbie hours, some offer pretty good teamplay.

I will try to download x-fire so we can sort that out. Oh, and of course only download the PR-mod.

Re: Pub-raiding for TG:ers (Euro-time)

Something I also use, is Qtracker. I use it for two things;

browsing servers, because xfire is really bad at that,

and I use it to find players that I don't have on xfire.
This playerwatch feature is pretty nifty. You can enter parts of names under "search mask". I added [TG] and |TG| and you can also right click on players in a server to add them to the friendslist.

I see every player with a normal TG tag [TG or |TG on any bf2 server there is, plus the ones I added manually.

I close the program during game to save resources, but it has a nice pause feature as well.

I can definitely recommend that software. It is the all seeing eye, but still in development (ASE support is discontinued I think). It is also very easy to write filters with a very noob friendly GUI.

I live in the US of A, but a student's schedule really reflects every other part of the world better than home. Let me know if you pub raid any time soon, especially on Thursdays.

Re: Pub-raiding for TG:ers (Euro-time)

Sure thing. I havenīt personally been able to play much in the past weeks due to RL, but it should be possible to get this kind of thing going either way.
