Hi everyone, just started playing on your servers recently, just finished a couple of games, and had a great time. TG .50AE was our squad leader and he does a heck of a job at it. Great teamwork will keep me coming back for more, getting tired of the free-for-all garbage. Keep it up and see you on the field.

I actually don't SL that much, I'm not comfortable giving orders to a bunch of TG guys, because I always feel like I'm going to screw up and let these guys down. Glad you thought I did a good job, though.

I'm a fairly new to TG and became a supporting member the day after stumbling upon the server (love at first sight?), but I believe I speak for all of us when I say if you communicate well, listen, and genuinely try then there is no way to let any of us down.

In my opinion, you're letting us down more by not squad leading, especially if you poses the traits mentioned above. Remember folks, you don't need to be a supporting member of TG to be TG...

Oh we just hover and wait for you to make a mistake AE. We are lurking and watching chat logs so that we can pounce on you and say, 'A-HA!! See IMI done went and screwed up!" PLEASE squad lead and CO all of you!!!!! We need experienced SLs, and the only way we are going to get them is if you try. Has a TGer ever said you suck SLing IMI? (Well, I mean recently? ) If your squad fills up map after map in the first 10 seconds of the round....you must be doing something right!

I've recently just embarked on the brutal and humbling endeavour of Squad Leading. I don't even have a Beacon unlocked yet (but I usually wait til I have a field upgrade before I actually start to SL). I've noticed there are days when I'm on it and the squads I lead are doing great and round after round the same guys come back to my squad and join up. Then I notice other days where I'll fill up a squad, we'll bomb horribly, and the next round I might be sitting alone in my squad. I don't take this personally at all...I use it as a measure of my success as an SL. If I'm sitting alone in my squad I try to reevaluate the previous round to figure out where I went wrong.

I completely agree that TG definitely needs more experienced SL's. So just jump into it man! Nobody's gonna knock you for trying.

Hey,

Kind of in line with something someone said earlier -- I've been playing the game for a couple months and since finding the TG server I feel like I'm finally starting to figure out how to play properly. Staying with the squad. When to advance, when to defend, etc. I'm learning way more from playing in good squads than when I used to just run around by myself getting my ass shot up. It's so much better I immediately signed up as a supporting member cause I couldn't stand hitting refresh to get into the constantly packed server.

My question is this though: just because I'm a supporting member and registered for a username here, that shouldn't mean I can start adding |TG| in front of my name, should it? Is there a test or something?

Nope, no test. Sounds to me like you should definitely be sporting the |TG| tag! Take a gander at this and this.

The test could be "find the FAQs that tell you about adding the |TG| tag."
Which, incidentally, I would have failed utterly.
