2142 & Vista?

Does anybody know if 2142 will run on Vista (the 32-bit version).

I checked the forum and the only thing I could find was someone having driver issues for their nVidia card in Vista.

It sort of works for me (Vista Business 32-bit & 7900GT). The default nVidia drivers (96.13 I think) have severe graphical corruption. The menus have messed up textures to the point where it's almost unusable. In game, it's playable but some HUD textures don't appear or flicker. It makes aiming in vehicles almost impossible because you can barely see your crosshair. The latest 97.46 drivers are unusable. 2142 is completely corrupted and you have to Alt-F4 to exit. These drivers also break Sleep mode in Vista.

Runs like a wet dream on my 8800GTS new drivers just out (100.53) but this release is for Geforce 8 series only new drivers for all other models should be out by the 30th.

Well, there is a fix for the messed up graphics - some patch in the registry. I am running with 97.46 on Vista 32 Ultimate RTM, but it's not as fast as XP.
BTW my 2142 doesn't even start any more on Vista and on XP I get the invalid CD key message. Haven't played 2142 in weeks.

Was that the ThreadedDDI registry fix? I tried that but still got unplayable mess with 97.46. Meh, I'll wait for new drivers.
