sold my game

Now the new owner can't use the game cause the key is regestared in my user name, that I don't want to give up. EA's Forums are'nt working either. What can be done.
Call EA and ask for another Key?

Re: sold my game

I actually got lucky when I sold my 2142. I had to create a separate EA account so I just gave him the login/password. I would think e-mailing EA would be the only option you have if you don't want to turn over the entire account.

yes I have other names on that account. That means your tied to your account no mater what? Thats redicules. I should'nt have to give up my info or accout just cause I sold my game? They (EA) need to fix that problem.

Re: sold my game

Not sure if this is the case because I don't read the EULA, but is there anything in it that states we are not allowed to resell the game? Just seem to recall reading that on a forum somewhere . If that is the case, calling EA may be pointless >

Edit* Don't know if this will help but you may try some stuff on this site to change account info? http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...-solution.html

I plagiarized the link from another post here (Don't want to get yelled at for not giving proper credit )

Re: sold my game

It's more or less covered in the "Fair Use" agreement terms. You are technically the legal owner of your copy of the licensed game product, therefore you're allowed to resell it at your discretion.

If you dont have the game anymore what does it matter? Delete the accounts and give him the key. Unless you are trying to play the game and make some money off it.....

I can assure you that's not his intention at all.

This is actually not so....I haven't read the EULA for BF2142, but with a lot of software these days (certain editions of Windows Vista included) when you "buy" the software, you aren't actually purchasing it to own. By accepting the EULA, you're buying the right to use the software, but the vendor still "owns" it. The EULA usually specifies that you can't resell it either.

This applies to a lot of OEM software, and a lot of software in general these days. Not all, but its a growing trend.

Could be the case here...but you'd have to read the EULA

Re: sold my game

You may be right and it's more of the loopholes corporations play on us consumers. They still want to keep their hands in our back pockets while robbing us blind of our money.

Hey wolf, try trooper's suggestion, unless you really plan on returning to 2142 in the future.
