G15 Tricks

So, I have a logitech G-15 keyboard. It has 18 extra buttons down the left side that I can macro to stuff. Cool tricks I've figured out:

New, Macro. Start recording. Press and release Q, right click the Q Up event, add a Mouse Event of click. I added some delays too so it would recognize it all the time, cause sometimes it doesn't without em. The full macro looks like this:

Q Down
0.050 sec delay
Left Button Down
0.100 second delay
Left Button Up
Q Up

Assign it to a key that's easy to hit (G15 or G18 for me) and you've a ready-made spot spamming macro.

Replace Q with T in a new macro and you've got a tactical orders macro.

I'll have to play with the different things to see if you can do anything with menus - sadly, I don't think you can move the commo rose cursor without moving your mouse, and the software can't do that. If anyone knows differently, please say so. I need to play with commander menus too and see if I can get a ready-made spot macro, supplies drop, etc. Just position the cursor, hit the mode button to go to command mode, start the work.

Re: G15 Tricks

how do you get it to register the mouse clicks? actually. i didn't use that, but i did decide to make one of my n52 speedpad buttons do exactly that. It's a great idea.

Re: G15 Tricks

In the n52 when in the macro creation, to insert mouse clicks you need to click insert and click on "mouse button". That'll allow you to insert a left, center, or right mouse click. With the n52, macro generation is less a matter of recording the macro (you can, but do that to only get the order of the keys right), but just inserting the key strokes and mouse clicks and their appropriate releases where you need them with the appropriate delays.

Re: G15 Tricks

I thought I had a solution, but no...

I know you can map the 'look up/down/right/left' to keys as well as your mouse, so I tried it out, but no luck. You can look all around with the arrow keys, but when you press Q or T only the mouse will let you select another option.
