Joining a TG Unit
So I became a Contributing Member this morning
![]() Now it's time to find a TG unit to join. I'm very partial to infantry tactics. I'm US East Coast (Atlanta), and generally can play early evenings (6-10pm EST) during the week, and varied times on weekends. Any suggestions/takers? ![]() |

Re: Joining a TG Unit
If you wish to apply to one of the in-house squads then you can see what options are available by going to the User CP and selecting "Group Memberships". That will give you a list of all of the squads and who you should contact.
Since you are new to TG you should take a look at the Irregulars. Our purpose is to indoctrinate new people into the TG way. A lot of the in-house squads recruit out of the Irregs. If you want more info on the Irregulars then check out the links in my signature. good Luck. |

Re: Joining a TG Unit
Hey Crux!
It's kinda like saying "ok - now I need to pick out a new best friend... ummmm... YOU!" It's just not that simple Honestly, your best bet is to squad up with different people from different squads and get to know them and what they're about. They'll in turn know you, your play style, sense of humor, etc, etc, and you can both judge if you'd fit well together... |

I agree completely. When I get inquiries about the 9th, the first thing me and the spearheads think about is the following.. 1. Have we ever been in a squad with them. 2. Does their personality fit 3. Committed to TG. So your best best is to join some TG squads. Rev p.s. 9th schedule days are Tues and Saturday 9pm Eastern.

Re: Joining a TG Unit
Well for what it is worth, I've been playing on the TG server pretty much daily. The only reason I play anywhere else is an inability to get onto the TG server
![]() Honestly I don't need indoctrination into the TG way of playing - it is how I've always approached my online games, be it FPS or tactical games. The approach here is why I joined TG ![]() I certainly understand the point about playing with different squads and getting to know people. I've played with a decent number of TGers, because I always try to join squads run by TG people above all else since I know they'll work as a team. Certainly personality and playstyle are important fits, which is part of the reason for my asking. I was more curious as to if any particular squads were active more at any particular times. I'm assuming, for example, that matching up with the Euro group would be a little harder than the others ![]() I'll definitely make a point of trying to get on during the 9th scheduled times. That said, thanks for the replies guys! I'll see you in-game. |

Re: Joining a TG Unit
Offtopic: Man I was sad when I came back to Ohio from Vegas. Ohio is not as bad as Atlanta, but compared to Vegas it is a Brazilian jungle. (asthmatic here)
OnTopic: I look forward to squading with you more often!

Re: Joining a TG Unit
Welcome Crux. If your in the same boat as Crux -- there have been a few threads of new SMs looking for in house divisions -- take advantage to the advice posted. As Whiskey said, get some play time with each of the divisions to get a good feel for them.
