Video of Gas Station Defense Feb 01

An 8 Minute FRAPs compilation of a defended flag -- Gas Station

Well, I finally got all the tech issues solved for making long streaming videos. The quality is not great, but a bit better than youtube! I failed to get the sound for this -- still trying to resolve that issue. This is from Feb 01, the map that has the oil tanks in the centre. Would love to hear from those that defended the gas station -- does it bring back any memories?

Keep in mind that my own video card and cpu limit the quality at which I can record, although if I am fairly stationary (as in this video) high quality is possible with little stuttering. Here I wish I had set it at high. I think my settings for this where low or medium.

File is at:

http://www.tacticalsites.com/~e-male/

Details:

NO SOUND, 8Min 32sec Minute Run time, ONE Camera only
Here I should not have been firing on enemy or spotting, as these ruin the flow and lead to missed action.

AND

1stMIP Assault on flag 2007

Not great footage but enough to get the idea of the flanking manuever
Again, no sound. Could have been edited to tighten it up...

Comments please.

You couldnt resist the temptation to pull the trigger, could you? You were supposed to be a camera man, not an assassin

Suggestions:
- Include sound and background music.
- Montage ! Action or "interesting" segments brought together instead of a single continuous movie
- Text in the beginning of each to explain what is coming in the following segment

Re: Video of Gas Station Defense Feb 01

All good ideas -- did not bother editing this one as it is rather choppy with me firing the weapon. Will be hard to get a coherent story out of one camera angle, but will try doing tighter edits once/if I get some decent footage. I want to do more than just a collection of cool shots of things blowing up, but such is certainly not out of the question ...

Will work on intro and extro texts/credits and so forth once all else is in place. My Premiere Pro has very crude capabilities for adding text, will see what more it can do down the road...

I am working on the 1st MIP assault video, but seem to have problems in the html coding...
