Weird Occurrence - says I was killed but I was not

I was playing tonight and the game said I was killed by (52)Killer2001, but I was still alive walking around. I have a screenshot, but have no idea how to post it. Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah I've seen it a few times. It's just one of dozens of bugs in BF2/POE2. Nothing really bad happens though, other than some head scratching.

It's a BF2 bug, nothing you can do about it. If it wasn't for this error, I would never get credit for killing Mantis!

I've had this happen too. Once it said that I was TK'ed by a teammate who wasn't anywhere near me.

This is a common bug.. I see [Artillery]theANGELofDEATH all the time. Even on IO and POE2 servers. Yesterday , during our scrim, I had fired a stinger at the hind as it came by. Then Lucky fired a tank round at it, blowing it out of the sky, displaying two kills for him.. Under it was TG theANGELofDEATH[killed]GC.(insertname?).. I say to myself "yeah, I finally got a kill" , hit tab to find I was still 0/0

Ya, I love this one. I had it in BF2 once such that every single kill by anyone on the server showed on my screen with me as the victim. I had an endless list of deaths as I ran around quite alive. Nobody was getting credit for anything though.
