Karkand 2-15
Really fun, close game in Karkand tonight. Boy havent said that in a while.
We started off well. Kept most of our western bases and caught up from the initial deficit in tickets. Then squads all started moving west, and inevitably viper capped the factory. My squad kept pressure on em, first starting on the factory roof and eventually we were on the ground level, waiting to cap the tank. We finally got support from other squads, and in the chaos i got on the rooftop right next to the flag. Everyone spawned, and we were suddenly back in the game. Rest of the round was basically a river stalemate. Mantis was still somehow near the Hotel and did a great job keeping their armor and some of their troops busy. Another squad kept moving to the west side as well, and i am 100% sure they lost enough tickets doing that to throw the game away for us Anywho, heres a screenshot of our setup. Havent seen this in so long...![]() |

Re: Karkand 2-15
I was on E-Males team (Germany) and we held the Train Accident and Warehouse the ENTIRE time. You guys almost got us on Warehouse do to you all being on the roofs(which was hell on us). We ended up pulling out and it was a good ol' fashion stalemate for awhile. We held the west end while you guys kept pushing from the east. we held off several push's at Train Accident. But the entire game was REALLY close. Good Games all.

Re: Karkand 2-15
I started off the round in E-male's squad, but just as we were about to head out towards the cement factory I was taken down and unfortunately our medics shockies wouldn't get me back up (was that you dirtboy?, I can't remember) and I was promptly team switched upon "dieing".
So I joined up with Santa and the rest of the squad putting up a defence south of suburb/west of square. We held that area well, but then the factory got taken and we were on the move heading east. It was quite a fight taking that flag back, and it took a lot of men to get the job done, some very fierce fighting indeed. Once we had the East side of the river again I pretty much spent the rest of the round running north to south and back again keeping everyone topped up with ammo, getting ripped apart from MG's across the river along the way. It was all good fun, but I must admit, it did seem like a lot of people were just charging at the train accident only to meet an untimely demise when really there was no need to. All in all I had some very enjoyable games in a few different squads tonight. GG's everyone ![]()

It was constant battle that kept getting hotter as we lost the surrounding flags on the East side, and then were finally surrounded. Never did dislodge Santa (?) from the roof of the Factory, but I finally managed to get an APC to the far East, and men stationed to guard its postion, which allowed us to keep the enemy well back for a while. Until we did that the first stage of the fight was chaotic, with enemy juping offf the Factory roof and grapping our APC, and others coming in from the North West. Can't recall all the names in my squad (Dirtboy and ...), some new to me too, but they all followed orders very well and played with great spirit. Once Germany was pushed off the Eastern side of the map, we held Train Yard and repelled assaults from the bridge (constant APC and Tank rounds), sniper fire from everywhere and swimmers from the North East. I had my men in two groups, two watching over the river North East and three keeping the Bridge supressed. I held in a Van (Vaudnic?) and kept the gun at the ready for any that made it past my men, but I don't believe any did. The first stage of the battle was more interesting for the sheer number of close quarter battles that Karand can offer, the second stage, as noted above, was little more than a stand off at the river. I completely forgot to get my 'camera' rolling, pity as the fight over Factory was epic. E-Male

Re: Karkand 2-15
I was SL on German Side until I was Disco'd and called it a night...
However That was a great round... a bit frustrating as the flags were just hoping back and forth... but it was definitely a close round. I thought we (Germans) had the game won there for a bit as we had you surrounded at the Warehouse. Lots of running around, but great games to those in my squad! Any my favorite part of the night: ![]() He wasn't AFK... I swear! OK, my Second favorite part of the evening was the battle over the East Farm on Carpathian Mountains. With some help from Lucky's squad we were finally able to snatch the CP away from Santa's squad... the flag bounced back once and we recapped it again... It was truly a great battle! . |

Re: Karkand 2-15
Been a while since I've played Karkand, but I thought it fit into POE2 very well. Viper was leading the 33rd squad on Germany and we proceeded to take the Hotel and Square in the opening of the round. After that it was straight to the west side to see if we could capture the Factory. With only one guy at the Factory it turned pretty easily. After that, Germany moved into the Factory and begun the assault on the west side. At one time we had Ukraine down to the one flag at the Warehouse and I thought it was game over.
However, enemy squads slipped out and proceeded to assault the east side and the Factory. It was Santa's squad on the roof of the Factory that was the biggest thorn in our side until Viper, Thundeer, and I were able to clear them off the high ground. Germany was now split between east and west in an effort to regain lost territory. Eventually, our squad and E-Male's were overrun at the Factory forcing us to respawn back on the west side. Germany did take back the whole west side of the river and the stalemate commenced. But due to the Hotel flag constantly being recaptured by Ukraine, the 33rd went south to clear out the enemy squad outside of our UCB. Eventually, we flushed out the 12th squad running in our rear lines. While the Hotel was secured, they ended up moving west and took the Suburbs. The fighting moved there and Germany retook the Suburbs bringing the west side under total control. The round ended with us hunting down the last pockets of Ukraine squads in our territory. Germany pulled out a smaller win than I expected until I noticed the lack of bleed for the map. Overall, a very enjoyable round. Maybe Sharqi can come out sometime.

Re: Karkand 2-15
Heh. We kept recapturing Hotel since no one bothered to actually defend it. I think we did that at least 3 times until the 33rd caught on and were trying to clear us out south of Hotel. We made our way ninja style, remembering to stay in the shadows, up to Suburbs. We held that for a couple of minutes before being overwhelmed, and at that point it was a river stalemate with most of our team rushing over only to be instantly killed wasting our tickets. Pretty fun round though.

Re: Karkand 2-15
I put my squad mostly on the West side until we got pushed off of every flag we tried to defend. Eventually we found ourselves at the Warehouse trying to keep the enemy team from capping us out, and the later we defended the bridge. Highlight of the night was taking out a full or almost full APC with a landmine.

Re: Karkand 2-15
Our local codemonkey is hard at work on various things but we make no promises or ETA. Bleed on kark and red dawn would be nice...so would no choppers on sharqi...we'll see though and inform if something develops.
p.s. That was a fun round. I was just a three man squad for half of it but then opened up the squad since I was well hidden on the west side and knew we would need some help. Gotta love the no UAV/scan environment...usually after we lost the Hotel flag I just had my guys hang low for a couple minutes and then reattack after everyone left it again.
