Help??

So, I get into a game, right? Any server. And about the time where it says, "Sending Client Info..." or as soon as I get into the server, it gives me this load of blasphemy that says, "Error, Steam UserID tag invalid" or some crap like that. It says it can't find it. Anybody know how to solve this? Would be much appreciated.

Re: Help??

Program Files > Steam or Valve folder > Delete ClientRegistry.blob > Restart Steam.

Re: Help??

It now officially states, "Disconnect: Error, cannot validate Steam UserID ticket". Yeah. Anyhoo, thanks. Hopefully it works.

We all get that from time to time. It goes away of its own accord.

Re: Help??

Thank you, it worked quite well. Now I just need to find a reputable pop-up blocker..

Have you tried shutting down your web browser, and all non-critical processes whilst gaming?

Re: Help??

My buddy thought it'd be hilarious to spam my computer with random porn when I went to the store to get some tea. So now I can't get rid of pop-ups at all. I'm thinking of just getting the hard-drive wiped.

Re: Help??

dont wipe the hard drive. Download Adaware from lavasoft. and microsofts defendor. Run both after updateing them and see if that helps. If not PM me i have a few more tricks.
