Re: got my new system
Your RAM should be important too, make sure that you get at least 2GB of PC3200, BF2142 lags on titan mode if you don't have enough RAM, and try to get some low latency RAM too. ie:
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.8 Corsair Dominator (@ stock) X1950 XT 512 <-- if your going to get Bad Company make sure you have something better than this, I made a major mistake here... |

Re: got my new system
Any plans on overclocking? I have a e6400 and I got it to 3.2GHz. Although I'm not using the stock heatsink. But you should be able to get it to 3GHz or more on the stock cooler, that's if you are going to overclock...

Re: got my new system
I OC'd my E6600 to 2.8 and BF2 started crashing...that's a problem that many OCer's started experiencing. BF2 doesn't like OC'd procs, for some reason, and that's why I have to restore the 6600 to 2.4 when I play any BF2 games. EA doesn't have a bright mind does it?

Re: got my new system
My 2142 did run a bit wonky when I overclocked (usually just a slight yet horrid laggness when I first loaded into the server) but I can't rob myself of 1Ghz just to play 2142/BF2 without tiny hiccups.

Re: got my new system
U gotta overclock it! The 6600 does 3ghz easy with nothing but a small voltage bump (if it even needs that). Make sure to run Orthos overnight to test stability. If it goes like 10 hours w/o any errors, BF2 should be peachy. Mine is fine.
