2/20 Verdun strange happenings

Well this is more of a bug report than an AA report but I'll try to make it interesting.

Late last night/ early this morning I was playing on the main server and made a TG squad. We were EU on Verdun I grabbed a FAV at the start and went to Hillside Farm (The one closest to PAC home base.) My full squad spawned in and we all got on the flag. There were no emenies around at the time yet we could not capture the flag. The bar would go all the way blue but would not capture the flag. Eventually the enemy came in and killed off my squad and captured the flag for themselves. Despite great play from my squad throughout the rest of the game our team lost the game by a very close margin. Just wanted to get this out there and see if anyone else has ever had this happened to them. The next round we were able to get the Valley farm flag at the start and we won the round. Thanks for the great work to whomever was with me. I know I'm not the best SL but I'm trying. If there's anything you think I can do better let me know please.

Having been part of this squad it was very weird not to get the cap, but you did fine as SL (plenty better than I've done).

I've seen this happen before on Berlin also.

It seems this isn't a map issue, but something else. It happens so rarely though, that it's hard to establish a pattern as to the "why" of it.

This has happened on all maps that I know of, but it's very rare. Last time I saw it, it was the Offices flag on Sidi. When you are CO'ing you notice it more often, because you see the status of all the flags and squads start complaining about it to you.
