Dystopia: Version 1 is OUT!

As of 7PM this evening, the cyberpunk MOD for the HL2 Engine was released to much fanfare, having gone through three whole years of dedicated development to make sure that the game was as fun and complete as they themselves desired.

If you would like to get in on the cyberwarfare between Corp mercanaries and hacker Punks during the late 21st century , now is the time to "click here" and let yourself be swept away in a blend of real-world and cyberspace combat.

With a wide array of customizable weapons, classes, and biomechanical implants, Dystopia further goes beyond these staple norms by implementing an objective based style of gameplay where the teams must achieve various tasks in both the real and cyber worlds in order to succeed in their defense of or assault on an installation.

Don't miss out on what promises to be a TG-tastic release party this evening from 7:00PMEST onward; we'll be locking the server and having some introductions for those who have never played before and unveiling the gameplay strategies and code of conduct TG will stand for before we unleash ourselves on the masses.

I wasn't a very big fan of the first Dystopia version; it felt like Unreal without the fast-paced action and well-designed maps or Tribes without the jetpacks or the open levels. I've read the changelog and it mostly seems like they added a bunch of weapons, changed hacking a bit, and added a new implant or two. Is the game any different, really, from the first version? At this point I dunno if I want to download 500 megs just to delete it an hour later.

If you didn't like the demo version then you probably won't be sold on version 1.

I loved the demo, so naturally I find version 1 to be even better.

I have downloaded and installed Dystopia but I probably wont be able to play it with you guys until next weekend. Time differences, bah.

Because I couldnt play Dystopia.
The new Dual Smartlock Pistols are ok, but you wont see me using them often, ill be sticking to the Lazer Rifle.
