Squad VOIP Teamwork 7 "Infantry Scanner"

==============================================

Squad VOIP Teamwork 7 "Infantry Scanner"

Northern Strike has brought us a new *super* gadget, the infantry scanner.
I like to stick it onto the Otus recon drone.

Very good movie to showcase the Scanner. Reason why I have this sort of peacful and safe feeling when I am using the Decoy as Recon.

Re: Squad VOIP Teamwork 7 "Infantry Scanner"

I keep on hearing this Recon Decoy
How good is it really?
Do you show up on Otus?
Do you show up on infantry scanner?
Do you show up on UAV?

Hmm. Would the scanner trigger the gun drone? Cause you could have the benefit of a gun drone (bzz bzz) AND the otus (via inf scanner).

Good idea, I'll try that and the gun drone is improved apparently

Re: Squad VOIP Teamwork 7 "Infantry Scanner"

"improved" means still "not good" usually - thing is it will usually not fire in CQC and then suddenly start to fire on people 100 meters away drawing everyones attention to the SL lol

Your video editor has the same problem as mine it looks like. I have no idea, but you would think that the zoom in would be as clear as the original video, except bigger, but it's not. The names you zoomed into are barely recognizable. I have the same problem. It's like it uses the post rendered video to zoom in on, rather than the original higher definition video.

That is unavoidable really, you are taking the original and making it bigger (larger magnification), but while keeping the detail (resolution) the same. The aim really is to 1. drawy your attention to it, and 2. make it readable when the video has been recompressed (Youtube/Google Video for example).

yes I'm getting NS

I have the infantry scanner permanently unlocked actually. By coincidence the day the patch came out i got a regular unlock credit and just spent it on the NS unlock and I haven't even pre-ordered yet.

In my case, I don't know about Silvers, that is not unavoidable. The original video is fairly high resolution. Zooming in should clear up rather than be just as blurry as the post encoded smaller resolution video, but larger. It seems to enlarge the post encoded video rather than the higher resolution pre encoded video.

for example the bleed example video I made:
http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...22064910158690
...the ticket numbers on my original video are perfectly clear and if the program had used the original video to zoom in, the zoom would be much clearer.

I don't know if I'm explaining this very well.

I am new to Sony and didnt want to spend hours learning it to get some results. it took me an hour to learn just the zoom in feature.

in time i will move completely to Sony but this time I took a short cut;

I edited in Microsoft Movie Maker (which I know inside out)
Rendered from MMM
Imported into Sony and spent 1.5 hrs doing the zoom stuff
Rendered into some massive avi format
Imported into MMM then rendered into 3 sizes for upload to YouTube / Google / FileFront

So overall I went through a strange procedure to get the video done in one afternoon.
I find learning Sony a pain to learn and I didn't want to spend any more time that I did learning the zoom.

If I had done it all in Sony the results would have been better.

Lesson learnt for me. I didnt realise I had lost so much in zoom detail. Thanks for the heads up DirtyLude. This motivates me to learn Sony properly now.
