Re: default clock speeds

Core clock seems horribly high and memory seems horribly low.

Core clock should be around 550-600MHz and memory should be around 1.4-1.45GHz if I recall correctly.

The 8800GTX is 575MHz.

Re: default clock speeds

If it's the vanilla KO edition it's 560/1450.

If it's the KO Superclocked, it's 600/1450.

Re: default clock speeds

i have an ati card.. GDDR3 ram and the memory mhz is 1377... but the Atitool posts 688.5 unless i switch an option to recognise Gddr3.. so it is only 2x what it is posted

Re: default clock speeds

DDR is "Dual data rate", which means two bits of data per clock cycle, effectively operating at 2x what ATItool is reporting as Tonk said.

The 2 and 3 in GDDR have nothing to do with speed, but have a lot to do with voltages. It's the same story for DDR system memory vs. DDR2 memory (like 2.5V vs. 1.8V I think).
