Re: Crazy Old People!
Some old people just can't give up driving. I don't think it'll be so bad having people drive me around. I'm gonna be like Miss Daisy and hire Morgan Freeman to drive me everywhere. Ofcourse he'll be dead by then so nm.

Re: Crazy Old People!
I think the problem is three-fold:
1. People view driving as a right (as in Constitutional, which it isn't). No one is going to tell them otherwise. 2. Senior Citizens comprise not only the largest voters age group, but also the largest Special Interest Group (AARP). Trying to enact laws that piss them off is political suicide. You see the same problems with Social Security reform. So, trying to force them to take a competency exam (or something along those lines) once they reach a certain age is not a good idea (from a law-makers standpoint). 3. Most of these people started driving before you even needed a driver's license. I doubt most of them have even been to driver's education. I'm just glad my grandmother decided on her own that she was no longer capable of driving. Sweet deal as my brother was living with her at the time and was able to drive her where she needed to go (then he'd cruise around town in her Cadillac).
