My IRREGULAR thinking

In January I stumbled across Tactical Gamer purely by chance. I was looking for a server that had structure and maturity. Thank the lord for small miracles. After joining the TG community forums, is was not long later that I decided I wanted be recognized as being part of a specific division. Unfortunately, I am not yet a Supporting Member of Tactical Gamer. So my options narrowed to applying to join the Irregulars.

At first, I had all the time in the world to play. I wanted other Irregulars to attempt to team up and form "elite" units. Still a good idea, in my opinion, but somewhat off from what I believe the Irregulars are about.

But circumstances changed and now I rarely have the opportunity to enjoy my favorite past-time. And then it all became clear to me - I think .

We are THE IRREGULARS. We either are being indoctrinated into the Tactical Gamer mentality - which is a very crucial step - or hampered by real life commitments. We may want to join the other divisions, but either due to financial or time restraints that just isn't possible - for now.

It may not matter to you who is reading this, but, I am damn proud of being an IRREGULAR. When I see that tag next to someones name, that person is IMMEDIATELY my brother or sister. They are either where I have been or where I am now. To those that have left our ranks, I wish them the best and always will. They are like my siblings that have ventured off to new adventures. But I want you to know, even after I become a Supporting Member, I will NEVER leave my TG-Irr tag behind.

Now, I have read through this a couple of times, checking for grammatical and spelling errors. It occurred to me that it may sound like I am some sort of nutcase. I hope you don't think that way but rather perceive me as someone who will always cover your six. Rock on y'all and I'll see you.

BoxCar it seems you have a pretty good understanding of the Irregs. While I love to see my fellow Irregulars picked up by an in-house squad I am also happy to see some of us stick around.

Our job is to indoctrinate the new players to the TG way. That mission rests solely on the shoulders of the Irregulars player and you guys do an outstanding job. Everyone should feel proud when one of us moves on to a squad because that means that you guys did exactly what was supposed to be done.

Anyway, mucho Kudos to Boxcar for his post.

I'm coming up on a year in the Irregs, and I have to say it has been absolutely awesome to see this squad evolve, to welcome so many new TG'ers, to do our part in the scrims, and to furnish many of the other squads with solid players.

Irregulars, wear those tags with pride! Hoorah!
