Moose vs. Helicopter
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/03/05/moo....ap/index.html
I'm guessing that this was not optimal for the tagging/relocation project that they were on. Start with a tranq dart, end with a dead moose and a broken helicopter.

As a fellow woodland creature and 'pest', I must say that I am outraged by this article. Hear this, humans, your days of walks through our parks and camping in our woods are over! Viva la Revolucion!

Re: Moose vs. Helicopter
Lots of people eat moose meat. Here in Maine, there is a moose hunt every year, and people eat that meat (I personally don't enjoy it, but lots of people do). Many Alaskans diets consist of moose meat.
This is a sad accident. Like the article says, traquilizers are drugs. The poor moose had no idea what he was doing. He was out of his mind. On the up side, you can bet someone probably ate that meat. |
