Shot multiple times...

Apparently there is a weird bug that fails to show your soldier to others as friendly or enemy. Because you dont immediately show up as friendly, people seem to TK you extra unknowingly. I had seen this before on someone else but 2 nights ago I got this bug on Port Bavaria. I was TKed multiple times by my own squad. I began getting really paranoid and wondering what I was doing wrong. Finally someone told me I wasnt showing up as friendly on the screen. So if you are ever TKed multiple times, dont be paranoid you may not be showing up as friendly... or you may just be pissing your squad off :-)

I had one game that no ones name was showing up. I had a bunch of team kills before I even realized what team I was on. I did feel pretty unstoppable though when I was mowing people down so fast that they couldn't even shoot back

Crux had this happen to him the other night while he was squad leader. It was kind of funny at first. The strangest thing was his name tag was actually locked in place floating in the middle of the map.

I had this happen to me once at suez canal. My own squad
was constantly shooting at me.

I saw this a couple of times on Verdun. It's pretty anoying if you think there's an enemy there. I always think it's a cloaked sniper.

One of the main reasons this bug seems to happen is when you switch teams while wounded or similar. I had this bug happen to me mostly when I had teamswitched somewhere in the middle of the round.

THis is a "way old" issue guys. IT has been around since the days of the Red Tag bug, and you may here a few reference to it. That's why you need uniform recognition. I'll admit that the new Northern Strike uniforms make this very difficult.

It worse when their name doesn't show up and they are using a kit they picked up off an enemy. I recall killing Lyramion in a situation like that (if you didn't notice, when you pick up an enemy's kit, you where their "backpack" so from behind they sort of look like the enemy).

I would like it if 2142 was implemented with no friendly tags to add more realism to this game, but since its there maybe people depend on it to keep there points positive.

yeha, I remember thinking I was kicking some serious but by flanking this huge group of soldiers. after I wiped them out, I thought I would check my score. surprised that I was not at the top, I kept scrolling down, and down and down...

in the -20s... I thought the scoring was glitched, then I killed a guy, and testing a developing theory, revived him. then I announced an apology and disconnected for the night... lol.

I like it how it is, but I would definitely like a reality mod alternative. No tags, wider flag radius, and the works...
