I searched everywhere for this problem but can't seem to find any solutions...
I start the game fine, I choose a server and when the server starts loading it stops about 1/10 of the way through for about 2 minutes, then proceeds to about 1/2 way and stalls for another 6 to 8 minutes. While this isn't a huge inconvenience it doesn't appear to happen to anyone else I talked to. It does become a problem when I'm loading for a scrim or a match. My system should be more than ample to handle things... I run: Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 1 GB Ram NVIDIA Geforce 7600 GT After the first map start/stall/start/stall/start any maps I load later load normally (about 6 seconds or so). Anyone know anything about this? I've reinstalled the game (deleting everything) twice but the issue is still there. |

Re: Stalls on Map Load
Your rig should be handling the game fine but at what settings do you run it? Because you probably can't run it all on high, and that could be the problem with loading; that your computer can't load all the textures and stuff in a short period of time.

Re: Stalls on Map Load
Thanks for the insight guys.
I normally had everything set at Medium. But after some testing I lowered my "Lighting" to LOW and now my first map loads in about 1 minute 20 seconds...much more respectable. Again, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. |

Re: Stalls on Map Load
No problems mate
But every on low seems a bit 'low' for your computer, I run at a pentium D 3.4 Ghz, 1 gig ram and GeForce 7600 GS and I have everything on medium at 1280x960 res and AAx2. I do have dynamic shadows and lightning to low. Maybe you could try that too (with all the dynamic stuff lower; that helps alot) also AA (anti aliasing) asks a lot from your computer but x2 will be fine. |
