Northern Strike AAR 3/15
It was either Zoopy, MDawg or LuckyStrike leading the squads, and they were some good games on the NS server.
The most amazing thing, was that two games back to back (I think they were Bridge round 2 and Liberation round 1) were both 1-0 ticket ending games. Nail bitingly close. Great work on both sides. On one note, the Liberation map is very challanging, especially down on the Alley point when the enemy manages to get on top of the buildings. Thankfully Lyramion came over with his transport and cleaned them out for us. And on another note, what's the deal with this 'pdude' fellow?

Re: Northern Strike AAR 3/15
There were some close rounds last night. Lots of fun.

Re: Northern Strike AAR 3/15
Yeah, two or three rounds back to back where the round ended with a ticket count of 1-0.
I have to say that even though I found him to be extremely annoying, his skills as a sniper did impressed me a bit. He plays smart, moves around between shots, and for the most part stays out of sight. My main gripe with him would have to be that his actions did little or nothing to benefit his team. Sure, he'd get off an impressive headshot almost every time, but a quick revive negated the ticket loss more often than not. He wasn't softening us up for advancing troops, capping flags, etc. He was like a gnat you just can't swipe, doesn't do any real damage but is annoying as hell. He did harass our squads quite a bit from round to round, most notably on Port Bavaria where he tied up almost our full squads attention trying to figure out where he was sniping from this time or that. Thinking back on it, we could have handled the situation better, but it was getting late and we were getting cranky. ![]() Last edited by Lorax74; 03-16-2007 at 05:19 PM. |

Re: Northern Strike AAR 3/15
the only way for a sniper to be effective is if you can spot the medics in a squad, then the squad leader. If you can, you can stop the reviving, then spawning on the leader. If you cant, your preaty much usless. So, for sniping to be effective, you need 2 or 3 snipers so you can spot the medics and quickly elimate them. But then again, how often do you snipers working together.
