reserved slots changed lately?

I seem to be getting punkbustered out at the moment after a few minutes in a game. Has the way TG handles reserved slots changed in the couple of months I've been away? The ID stored in my profile matches the one on the EA stats site.

I have registered you ingame with 81686051 (silverfish_) at 18th of march. so I assume that is the one you are using. Check to see that you use 81686051 in your profile.

Huh, that's weird. It always seemed to work before . . . or maybe I was just incredibly lucky! Thanks for your detective work, chaps!

Re: reserved slots changed lately?

Okay, got a chance to try again tonight, and I'm still getting punkbustered out after a couple of minutes with no message (other than a window saying punkbuster). I manually updated PB to see if that'd make a difference but it ain't working. Any clues or tips? Any faffy workarounds needed for Vista users?

Link won't let me download NS either - I guess it's just not meant to be.

Re: reserved slots changed lately?

81709031 = SilverFish
81686051 = Silverfish_
81686051 = TG forum BF2142 PID

So if you are logging onto the servers with Silverfish_ then that should work.

Re: reserved slots changed lately?

Thanks, but I've moved onto a different question

I did a further manual update of pb, and now in-game I get told something along the lines of "PB important: inadequate o/s privileges" or somesuch. Huh?

edit: yes, I'm an administrator on this box. Again, it's running vista.

edit 2: okay, fixed it. why did they hide a "run as administrator" button? Why is it not enough simply to _be_ one? pfeh.

Actually, as a web developer I can confidently say IE7 is the root of all evil, followed by vista.

Re: reserved slots changed lately?

I'll stick with XP until a game I just have to get is DX10/Vista only (dirty MS). Granted I would first have to buy a DX10 video card before that part would make me change OS.
