Walker Slaughter 3/21

Well, it was wed night, Gibraltar, just outside of the toll station mouth, i had the elite 9th around my feet, making sure noone got to close in the blind spots, together we were stopping the hoarde of infantry storming the toll station fom the harbor Madness, i say, Madness........... every way you turn there is someone to CUT DOWN! Watch those kills rack up! gotta love it, with the right people guarding the weakness of the walker and in turn the walker providing close heavy support! almost unstoppable! What a game!
Then the next round in after We broke thier enemies flank in taking central base. The rest of the flags went down quickly after. I love the shutout win!
+1 for the 9th!

Re: Walker Slaughter 3/21

I was on the other team and it was not at all enjoyable. I'm trying my best to break thru troll station in stealth, meanwhile my squad is spawning at random places then giving me helpful advice like "you should drop a beacon" meanwhile I am running for my life from 5+ guys. I refused to switch to the stacked team and ended up with something like 6 losses and 0 wins for my efforts.

While I was not there last night, my comment on "shutout" games would be thus:

"yawn"

Not to piss on you, or anything, but there's a kind-of well known internet gaming cliche for people who stack teams and buttslam pubbies.

Since I was not there, I am sure there were many "LearnTG" squads on your side, and this cliche is completely inappropriate in this circumtance.

I wasnt Hyping out the fact that we "shut out" the team. That has been accomplished many times over, i was....however, talking about how well the squade preformed with each other. Just giving credit, under the credit section!

Aren't 99.9% of games 'shut-outs'? Does the timer ever run out first on a TG server?

Re: Walker Slaughter 3/21

I remember those rounds... yes DrakinClaw did a fantastic job or running the Walker while the rest of the squad teamed up to beat back the onslaught at Toll Station.

We lost Harbor on a few occasions but managed to fight back the onslaught and retake the Harbor flag (which I believe we might have lost again).

I think the next round (when we were attacking) we managed to sweep the flags in very short time frame.

"shut-outs" meaning all flags capped before the tickets reach 0!

Is there another cliche for people who take cheap-shots? Or would that be inappropriate in this circumstance also?

Hm! I was unaware that giving the benefit of the doubt was a cheap shot.

You learn something new every day, I suppose.

Re: Walker Slaughter 3/21

we rocked even on the short-sided team...i managed to do a sneaker with the buggy at the beginning of that one round and we got the EU base and the walker and totally shut-down, and shut-out Fehmart and the stackers!!!

oh, and by the way...remember that unless you are an admin, if the game is "full"..you CANNOT switch teams...so don't blame them for "stacking" when there is nothing they can do about it but go to another server...

One 9th squad or one 7th squad will not unbalance the teams the way they were the night this occurred. That comes when everyone ELSE migrates over to that team. I see guys like "CUBAN ablindeman" swap teams middle of the round if he is losing (when he is not too busy bunnyhopping that is) and it annoys me.

On the other hand I see people like Fehmart and Lyramion who will switch to the weak side to try to balance teams out even if it means an ass-reaming and I have to /salute them for it.
