I was so proud of my squad tonight in Belgrade. The first round on this map (EU) we made a lightning run for Statue and held it for most of the game. Zoopy_T and Silver (two fellow Irregulars) stalked up and down with the walker keeping people at bay. When things were quiet, Dog and I would run over to the gap between Com Tower and Playground and keep busy until Zoopy called for assistance. Sadly, I have no screenshots for that round.
But the real glory was the second round (PAC) when we showed up at Statue seconds after the EU team did. Fortunately, we were able to wipe them up before they could spawn in force or lay a beacon. Afterwards, we stuck around and held the flag for the rest of game. Zeizan rode gunner in my walker and we must have thwarted a dozen or so attempts by squads coming in from the south on foot. Zoopy was instrumental in calling out their approaches on the southwest, after which we'd go mop them up. Dog was key in repairing the walker and laying mines. We must have cleared out a dozen spawn beacons and killed an equal number of tanks, APCs and buggies. DevilTiger and Clay82 did a great job with hunting down stragglers that snuck through to the flag and keeping them away from the feet of the walker. In short, I am really proud of how well my squad performed for a group of real irreguars who would consider joining a squad named METAMUCL (even for Irregulars!). Screen shots follow... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: So Proud - 3/24
Those were two of the best rounds I have played. The first round was awesome, kept thwarting the 9th advancements on the statue untill my lone walker taken down. We lost statue, got it back, lost it again and finally got it back before the round was over.
The second round we got to statue a bit late but held it for the rest of the match. Just goes to show you that the Irregulars can crush all that oppose us. |

Re: So Proud - 3/24
I wish I didn't have to study for a gov't exam so I could get in on the action. Not playing for a week and a bit is already killing me. Seeing threads like this make me cry.
*sniff* damn you people, stop having so much fun! |
