Some silly questions about awards

I really feel like a noob to ask that but..
Let's say I'm working on my Assault awards (Assault service bronze, silver or gold badge).
It means that, for silver, I have to kill 20 people IAR and it'll give me 500 points.
So.. can I earn them several times ?
And what exactly "IAR" means ? can I make, let's say : 1 kill, I die, another kill, I die, etc.. and at my 20th kill, I earn the badge ? or I have to stay alive (or be revived) the whole time ?

I know it seems silly but some game translations are quite strange (like the fact that "Major" is a lower grade than "1st lieutenant" ) and reading forums in English while playing the game in another language can be a bit confusing.

IAR=in a round. so if you get 20 kills in a round (game start to game end) and satisfy all the other requirements, then you get it. I'm not sure you can get it more than once though. Pins i know you can get many many times. I just finished playing a titan map where I got 16 combat service pins for 5 points each in one round (i was flying the attack helo and shooting down loaded transports ).

To get the Silver Assault Service badge you have to play the assault kit for 15 hours (Global). Then after you have your hours in, In A Single Round (IASR) you make 20 kills with the assault kit.

After I have gotten my hours in I have tried to concentrate on the kit to get the kills, heals, repairs whatever to get a badge. But it never seems to happen and was not always best for the squad and team. Now I use the kit that is best for the moment and surprise I will get a badge.

You can't earn badges several times, that's only with pins. There's a bug you can get awards multiple times, though, but that's not how the game was meant to be. (for example: I'm getting the PAC duty ribbon every single round but you are supposed to earn that only once)

...and there still are 2 more ways when you earn a badge again:


- You are in the game as a Privat. You get lots of badges but their points wont count

- You are in the game with your real rank and get stuff again - and sometimes those points DO count again. This usually happens when you joined a server once and you were a Privat without Unlocks - then leave and join again to get your unlocks back.

The server somehow gets really confused and might let slip those career points thru.

Sorry dude but I have to call BS on this. If you got 16 combat service pins that would equal 80 kills in a round (which you claim you did with the gunship). I looked at your stats and you only have 37 kills with the gunship.

@Jonan_ : Different character maybe? And the EA site sometimes doesn't always give reliable stats.

@OP : On the subject of getting the kills needed to get the badge I reccommend a non-TG server with rockets. My gold assault was thanks to some medics who kept reviving the two squads in one of the Camp Gibraltar doorways and a very helpful support guy.

One more question : to earn the SL service badge, I have to call reinforcement on my beacon (10 for bronze and 20 for silver) : if I drop the beacon then take it back and ask my SM to spawn on me, does it count for the badge ?

Wasnt my primary name and was on an unranked server. I dont practice my skills (flying and such) on ranked servers so as to avoid messing up my stats .

Plus, getting that many kills on a titan map from loaded transports is EASY. All you have to do is hover behind the enemy titan in the TTG guns' blindspot and wait for a transport to launch off the deck. Fire a full salvo and kiss the guys inside goodbye. I nailed several transports with full squads (for some reason the server rule was that you HAD to spawn on the titan and find a way to get to the ground on your own. kinda dumb rule but worked to my advantage.)

Wow you really take your stats seriously! =D

My stats include all my "noob time" spent learning the various classes, weapons, and vehicles. I've wondered what they would be like if I were to start a different character tomorrow...

Nah, I just crash a whole heck of a lot when i'm practicing flying (i have basics and advanced techniques down, but the expert stuff is what i'm shooting for). If I did that on a ranked server my k/d ratio would suck horribly. Plus, its always fun to look at the scoreboard at the end of a round and have 50+ kills.

I've got a question about the Titan Destructor badge, and whether I will eventually get the gold. Basically, I had 39 core destructs, got one, putting me up to forty (the global requirement for gold). Next round I'm almost positive I got three panels and know I got the core, yet never got the award. Is there any reason for this, or was I just the victim of horrible luck with a bug or delay in the server reporting my core kills?

Could be a bug. I was eligible for a transport gold last night, had the amount of kills necessary (+6 even) and never got it. However, I did get a bronze assault badge which I have silver, but it was a bug. Showed my global score as zero. Basically, I got screwed.

Speaking of awards and of pain in.. the back , have you any tips to earn the Snowflake's one ?
Until now, I have found only 2 kind of maps :
-"big" ones : every one seems to have the Goliath or a walker.. not really easy to roadkill
-"little" ones : well..I was kicked 5 mns ago on a "little" map (8vs8) .. the map was so short I didn't notice I was actually baseraping the UE (a pity, I had 4 roadkills )

Btw, I found why I was wondering about the "awards can be earned several times" thing : I had a bug with EA.. I earned 4 times the SL service bronze while the game didn't notice it. It took 24 hours to have the points
