Training Mission: The Hunted

We just received word that the new coalition between the US and the UK have launched their first joint training mission. By the looks of it, they are preparing their forces for behind enemy lines engagements. This has the sounds of war written all over it.

The new Coalition Commander has this to say...

"Soldiers, today begins a long and steadfast journey to seek and obtain what is rightfully ours. We will be patient no more with the inaction of the United Nations."

"We have put together a series of training missions to prepare us for what lies ahead. To keep morale high, we have transformed these training missions into a competition. I have provided the Tactical Gamer Times with the details of this first mission and instructions to move forward with execution."

Background
Not all wars are won by shear force and advanced technology. Often times smaller covert ops missions can save thousands of lives.

Description
This training mission will consist of three competing two-man squads who have to track down and eliminate a live target. The setting of the mission can vary to represent operations behind enemy lines. Each individual squad is competing against all other squads based on time and staying alive.

Objective
Track down and eliminate the live target within twenty minutes without losing a team member.

Environment
We have setup several simulated training locations for this training mission, each with their own unique setting and boundaries.

Map Selection
Each team will rank the maps in order of their preference. The most preferred map for the three teams participating will be round #1. The hunted will then select a map to play in round #2. The rounds will be played consecutively on the same night.

Initial Deployment
The live target will have three minutes to maneuver within the environment. After the three minute target deployment, the two two-man squads will deploy.

Other Rules

• No commanders will be allowed during this mission. Each two-man squad is an independant unit cut-off from command.
• We do not want to alert the opposition of our presence. No vehicles will be allowed.
• There will be no teamkilling of the other two-man teams.
• Two-man Team Kits: Spec Ops (unlimited), Rifleman (0), Grenadier (0), Anti-personnel Rifleman (unlimited), Combat Engineer (unlimited), Corpsman (0), Anti-tank Rifleman (0), Specialty kits (0)
• Target Kits: No restrictions

Scoring

• Time: The two-man team that eliminates the target will score one point for each minute remaining on the clock.
• Survival: Each squad will receive five bonus points if all squad members manage to survive and the target is eliminated.
• Teamkill: The team will forfeit the round and receive zero points if they teamkill one of the other two-man teams.

How do I sign-up for this mission?

What are the dates/times for the rounds?
Once the teams are established, a schedule will be made of which two-man squads pair up to hunt down the target. It is then up to the two teams and the target to coordinate when the round will be played.

Teams should coordinate together with Apophis to schedule when your match will be played. Please PM me (Battlefield Reporter) when the match will take place and I'll make sure the server is setup.
