Squad Kick Question

Lately it seems I've been getting kicked from squads w/o warning. Usually I'll find out when I'm holding spawn waiting for the SL to say go, then realizing that I don't have a SL anymore. is there a spawn time limit for staying in the squad? I don't remember being told I'm being kicked. Maybe my brain is blocking out 'you're a jackass' comments?

There is no spawn time limit for staying in the squad
There are some keys to start a squad (insert?). If you are in a squad then I think these just make you leave the squad you're in.
hmmm not sure

Re: Squad Kick Question

hmm

this happens to me aswell but I know why, sometimes when I'm in a rush to change my soldier kit I accidentally click on the EU icon just above the kit icon, clicking this will make you lone wolf again even if you don't switch teams.

do you think that could be it?

Re: Squad Kick Question

I've had this happen to me from time to time (whether I'm squad leader or not) and it's usually followed up by a message saying "You've been moved to the other team" (paraphrasing). The kicker is that more than half of the time I don't actually get moved to the other team, I stay on my original team and end up rejoining my squad if it still has a slot open.

There are other threads about this floating around the tech support forum, I'll see if I can hunt some down for for you to give some additional reading.

That's interesting, can anyone confirm or deny this? I'd hate to think a random, undocumented keystroke has been causing this grief...

Simpson has identified the most common reason for leaving your squad
you accidently click on the tab for the other team as if you wanted to team switch.
you will leave the squad you are in, whether or not you switch team

Re: Squad Kick Question

I'll believe that. There is so little feedback when I click some of those tabs (espically is the connection lags a bit) that I wouldn't be suprised if I smack the wrong tab.

I guess it is a headspace and spazzing issue.

Re: Squad Kick Question

The other day I was someone forcing squad leader's out of their squads, happened like 4 times. Very annoying.
