I like to apologize

I just found out what teabagging is/ment. {http://www.tacticalgamer.com/general-discussion/92254-what.html#post716465}
I have done this a couple times here back when I first started playing in Feb. I never say anyone eles do it so I stopped.
I am very sorry for doing this. I don't derserve to wear the TG tags. and I will remove them right away.

Re: I like to apologize

I can't speak for anyone else, but as far as I'm concerned, I really don't care if your virtual body teabags my virtual face. I think it's hilarious, especially if it's someone whom I regularly play with or against. I guess I'd be a little more upset if a name I didn't recognize came in and teabagged me.

I would probably say that if you "just" found out what it meant then you were ignorant of the "virtual damage" dealt.

Second you recognized that this behaviour is seldom used here and stopped doing it shows that you mindful of our gameplay.

Third... I would probably say that your apology says alot and shouldnt go so far as removing your tags.. but then again the |TG| doesnt make you |TG| it is how you play that makes you |TG|. I know several people that I consider to be |TG| and have never wore the |TG| tags.

Lastly I know for me... t-bagging doesnt hurt my feelings.. I just get a little chuckle when shortly later I kill them. In this "virtual" battlefield.. everyone will die over and over... and we all will get our share of killing each other. If you take offense to any of that then this might not be your game.

Take care and see you in the battlefield.

Re: I like to apologize

Ben Franklin said of George Washington something along the lines of "his genius is that he seeks out that which he doesn't already know." That means something along the lines of "no one was born a TGer." That means something along the lines of "keep the tags."

As for me, I'm happy not to see teabagging everywhere, but I must admit to an occasional and majestic TeaBag performance if ALL the circumstances are exactly right:
1) The night is just beginning, with an almost empty server.
2) The map is "Fallen."
3) The target is York, of the 5th.
4) He was just talking smack to me over the squad's TS channel.

Put those tags back on Sargent. Your circumspect response tells all that you deserve the TG tags.

Sgt_fetterman, don't worry about it. My personal opinion is that people who engage in teabagging are primarily males making up for certain anatomical shortcommings--if you get my drift (*nudge, nudge, wink wink*)

Jeepo, you'll have to do better than that if you want to join the 6th.

Re: I like to apologize

I find teabagging in general pretty childish, but if it is reserved for special occasions, it can provide a valuable boost to squad morale.

Re: I like to apologize

I've only ever wanted to do it when I've sneaked up on a tank and put C4 on it. Unfortunately, teabagging a tank is awkward, especially with these... yeah, no one will believe that one.

Re: I like to apologize

IMHO, it depends upon the spirit in which the teabagging was done. If the intent is to have a good laugh with your mates once in a while, what's the harm? A good ribbing now and then has been a part of gaming since its inception eons ago. If people are seriously going to be offended by that, they need to either lighten up or rethink their social/gaming outlets.

If, on the other hand, the intent is to be a smacktard in the hopes of provoking people to wrath through chronic and repeated bagging (you know the type - the ones that bag after EVERY kill, for instance) for one's own private set of chuckles, then clearly that person has crossed the line and he should be dealt with for the asshat that he is.

I've never required an apology from anyone that has teabagged my corpse after first knifing me in the back, stealing my kit, and using my C4 to kill my squad mates defending up at the flag. It's just a good excuse to hunt that person down and return the favor. Only I hold the ace up my sleeve because that person doesn't know when or where it'll be coming from. Ahhh, vengeance... truly, it is a dish best served cold.
