I want to share something with all of you.
In light of recent things I thought I would share a little part of me with you. I felt it better posted here since most of you that will read it know me.I wrote this down one night on my first deployment with the Army and would read it to the younger troops when they were a little stressed out.
"Dear Lord,
I sit before you tonight not as a man but a soldier. I want to ask your help in preserving my life through this mission. I have made friends and enemies alike here and I want to thank you for both. I have felt lost without your guidance and at times have hidden from your direction out of fear and anger. For these things I ask your forgiveness O'Lord. I understand that I am but a tool for your use in aiding my comrades in arms. I want only to live as a man, die as a soldier and love like a saint."
"In this I ask for the guidance of the Three. Grant me the Father to watch my back when the fighting is fierce and help calm my fears. Give me your only Son to hand me ammo when all around me is chaos. Ask the Holy Ghost to carry me to heaven where the proud my live forever if I fall. These things we ask of you O'Lord in the name of the United States Army and freedom."
