This match was the first US win I've ever experienced on the 0.5v of Al Basrah, and frankly also one of the best I've ever played. I played with an excellent armor squad led by
TG-Irr p.Vicious and very well coordinated Air and Ground elements. The armor squad I played in was simply the most coordinated and successful squads I've played with. The tank I piloted literally survived from the start to near finish (unfortunately it died with a bridge collapse at Palace). The gunner, Twisted Pyro, did an amazing job at efficiently destroying fleeting spawn cars, insurgents, apcs, and tanks (I believe he racked up a 9:1 something K/D ratio). p.Vicious,
highblur@techie.com, SilencerDL, xxxMr.Mxxx, and Twisted Pyro were all excellent squad mates. The repair team (highblur, Silencer, p.Vicious) was very quick to respond to repair requests with their repair/ supply trucks, and xxxMr.Mxxx did wonderfully as an APC backup. I escaped near death in tight situations thanks to the repair team and p.Vicious' prompt medical aid. Unbelievably, the US team was down to capturing Palace, which imo is quite a feat on Al Basrah, but was unfortunately prevented from actually doing so by an unanticipated bridge collapse that sent my squad's armor column to its watery grave (We put up a bloody hard fight before we went :P). All I have to say is that it really is this kind of teamwork that brings me back to the
TG servers whenever I load up PR. Keep the spirit of
TG alive and running by playing the game how it should be played: with tactical teamplay and excellent communication.
