POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

I propose that in honor of father's day we should all jump on the POE server and see if we can fill it up tonight.

I have a guest from PBF coming and I would like to make a good impression with a full server, just like the old days.

So chkdsk, defragment, and load it up. I'll be on about 7:30 PM Eastern. I hope to see a lot of players tonight.

Re: POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

While we're making requests, it would also help impress corporate's friend from PBF if you all let me completely pwn you tonight so he can see how awesome I am.

... okay?

... hello??

I'll get on and try to lure some 7thers. I've got nothing to do tonight that can't wait.

Yea, I had a blast. I even managed to get the gold on Carpathian. Cuervo was SL along with Moregooder, A><is, TJ_The_Killer, and Mike Hawk. We had a great time trying to take the Lumbermill and later defending S. Cabin.

Re: POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

I had a great time. I would like to give a shot out to all the people I knifed including that entire squad hidding behind the house on Orel who for some reason did notice I was just stabbing them all left and right.

Was the first chance I had to play since I rebuilt my PC! Was so nice to be running smooth again! Thanks for running a frontline map too, it really mixed things up and allowed Berezen to be played in an totaly different way.

Most fun I had was on Fallen lighting it up with the MG3. My gosh does that map make me paranoid!

LOL

Thanks for the shout out. I think you knifed me twice last night Greasy.

We would probably use a tut on fronline mode. Confusion reigns whenever it come up. I have found that no one ever defends. Every time I have played frontline mode everyone runs to the next flag without at least one small squad holding their current flag. Then of course it only takes one little enemy to sneak around and take it from under us and push us back one flag. I have never seen this not happen.

Re: POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

Yeah, it takes some adjusting to. Whenever I load a FL map (usually when it's 16vs16 or less), I make sure to spam some admin messages at the beginning of the round (at least) to explain what's going on... something along the lines of:

-> NEUTRAL FLAGS ARE NOT CAPTURABLE
-> IF YOU'RE AT A GREY FLAG, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG SPOT
-> ATTACK THEIR FLAG, DEFEND YOURS

[Edit: also - so far, everytime I've loaded a FL map, I've started a "Defense" Squad...]

I'll do the same for Nuke maps (which we had some fun playing on last night too).

-> 14 C4 TO DESTROY NUKE - NO JIHAD JEEPS!!!

It actually worked out pretty well last night - I loaded the Nuke maps twice, and for the most-part, everyone switched teams between rounds!!

Re: POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

Speaking of which, I suppose I should apologize for the mess I made last night. One map ended and I tried to quickly switch to Berezne before the next map loaded. This made the autosize fail and Berezne16 loaded up with 45 players on. I then switched manually to what I thought was Berezne32, but it was the FL version, so we played FL with way too many people.

Still had lots of fun tho!

Re: POE2 Father's Day Awesomeness

Good mistake to make. Was an awesome time with FL! One thing I love about FL is you get to play new areas of the map. New choke points and paths to attack and defend. Just totally changes the area of the map which you felt you knew around and makes players adjust.
