online fax...

Hey I need to send a fax, anyone know a good way to do it online. No phone line at my house, all cable and cell phones. I don't want the recipient to get some ad on the cover page as I need to forward my ressy to a lab.

Re: online fax...

They gave a fax # for the resume, no email. I was hoping not to have to leave the house... but I might be forced to. Blah. I don't even know anyone who has a telephony modem anymore.

Re: online fax...

You dont use a modem for a fax machine. Go to your local library and see if they have one.

The last dial-up modem I used had fax ability. (I remember riding my stegosaurus to the store to buy it. )

I've been thinking about a service like this. I need to send a couple of faxes a month, though, and I can't see spending that much for just a couple of faxes. Have you heard of any service that charges per fax?

I have been looking at this for awhile, it is not part of Skype but it works with it. Seems cheap and pay-as-you-go me thinks:

Heh... I can drive to my wife's store if I really need to send a fax. Most of the time I'm sending a fax to a location that is only a few miles away, though.
