The team at DICE has created a brand new map for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Highway Tampa for Battlefield 2 will be made available in June for free courtesy of Intel. The map for BF2142 will follow in the coming months.

Highway Tampa: The war in current and future times wages on. The most direct path for supplies and reinforcements for both sides across the expanse of the Arabian Peninsula has been dubbed Highway Tampa. In order to ensure safe passage of critical new technological equipment, both coalitions wage fierce battles to take control over the land. The new Battlefield 2142 map features Titan mode and introduces the new Double Assault Lines game mode. For Battlefield 2 the map features the Conquest game mode. Highway Tampa is the most vehicle intensive map released to date, taking the famous Battlefield sandbox gameplay to the extreme!

The Open Beta for Battlefield 2142 will start very soon, watch this space for more info.

I think the 2142 map is going to be pretty sweet if it isnt NS only, it sounds fun The vanilla map though, I hate it. Too much armor.
