Pr 06-26-07

One word sums it up...shameful.

Thanks and +rep goes to Orion for cleaning up the mess that was created. Once again thank goodness for the Admin presence. Is there a contingecy in place if the new PR does not turn out to be as popular as .5? I honestly left the game tonight shaking my head......

The new server is here to stay. I suggest you guys download it. Leave the download running all night, or during the day while at work.

Remember that with any new release, there is going to be a period of learning. We should be taking advantage of this time to learn and train new players.

Re: Pr 06-26-07

I didnt think it was all that bad. The only thing that got to me was all the "crap" talking(lack of a better). There were just alot of people talking trash. I have never seen so many pubbies on a TG server before, but I didnt see this as a bad thing. I met several AWESOME squadies (knewman and iamnotcanadian to name a few) that followed orders real well and I think will stick around.

But yes, while v.05 was good, I truly believe that v.06 is WAY better. IMO anyway

Dirt, thanks for being the only SL that had some kind of coordination/communication while I was CO on Kashan, and yes, I am a bad commander. Also thanks to Iamnotcanadian for being the first to come and build a firebase for me

Re: Pr 06-26-07

That firebase and AAA helped out alot. My squad was in terrible condition (had 2 or 3 tanks that were getting massacered by the A10). Building that firebase and AA fixed that up real quick.

I tried being CO a few rounds before that...it was complicated. Should password the server and get a few guys on there that want to learn...just to train and what-not. I think most of it is awareness of where firebases and bunkers, which are spawn and kit request points, are needed...as well as the AAA. Razorwire and sandbags are just for more cover and to limit and/or focus troop movement, whether friend or foe, into a certain area. Its easier said than done though. Like kill4aliving said, you dont always have somebody right there to help you build structures.

Re: Pr 06-26-07

Well, it 's still a beta and a lot has changed since 0.5. People will be trying out stuff and test the new features in stead of concentrating on tactics... give it some time.

BigGaayAl might be so kind to update the commander thread and explain how everything works in the latest beta . I 'd do it myself but that won't be till saturday or sunday...

Even when the official release will be out, you still won't get the quality games from 0.5. I think it will take about a month before everybody knows how everything works so the sooner TG runs the beta, the better imo.
